#1 pick or Mayo ?

Fire Mayo and his staff. They can get Graham, Carter, or Campbell at #4, they can’t allow the Mayo experiment to continue. Kraft needs to man up and fix what he broke.
I'm hearing that Campbell might project as a Guard.

Fire Mayo & Co. before Sunday's game....and get the #1 pick because there ain't no coaches on the sideline on Sunday....

I took it as:

A) #4 pick and Mayo becomes a great coach (because he won a meaningless game... because the fans are mad about losing meaningless games)

or

B) get the #1 pick and continue on an indefinite coaching search.

No coaches on the sideline? We might win...

He's saying in a theoretical world, would you take:

1) #1 pick, but your penalty is having to keep Mayo.
2) #4 pick, but no more Mayo.

There are a lot of good players at #4, but only one Mayo who needs to be fired.
It’s a tough choice.

As much of a train wreck as Mayo is the worst case is we suffer through 1 more year of him.

The 1 can be turned into a bonanza of picks. The benefit would far outlive the lost season of 2025.
A better question would be would you rather have the 1 with Wolf in charge or the 4 with a better GM?

I'm not an expert on this, but why would you keep the #1 and not draft Travis Henry?

I think any player they would want will be available at #4, if they don't take Henry.

Ha ha I hijacked a fire Mayo thread to be about real talk.
I don’t think he meant it that way, I think he meant lose and get the first pick. I assume everyone understands we would trade it.

Let's make the question: how much cap would you give be willing to sacrifice to get rid of both Mayo and Wolf?

A question even Kraft would love.

Well we won’t spend it all unless we hire someone who tells Kraft that’s the only way he takes the job. I’ll predict we end up not spending about 40 mill.

Yes you take the best available player and worry about the position after, “can’t teach talent”

Ketchup or mayonnaise?

I'm not entirely sure what you are saying, but you can trade down, and still get the best player available.

The Pat's are winning tomorrow.

Picking 4th

Keeping Mayo.

Why? Kraft is trying to get into the HOF and how would it look of he tanked just to pick # 1?

The marrative that Kradt coukd have picked # 1, but thinks too much of the NFL shield to tarnish it for his teams gain is a much better sell for the HOF.

Ah, thank you. In that case, that IS a very tough question. If they play their cards right, they can trade the #1 for several valuable pieces and that to me is critical. This team is almost completely barren of NFL talent above fringe roster level. I’d go with 1.

Because Will Johnson is a better pure CB than Henry and Egbuka (if he checks-out medically) is a better pure WR than Henry. Better to trade down and acquire more talent, as we need more talent than just one player (who I suspect could be a huge bust, even more so if taken #1 overall). I don't want Henry (and I'm not alone on this). We can politely agree to disagree on this.

Schefter saying Pats for sure will be top 3… I thought it was top 4 but guess I’m wrong.
