We may want to execute the staff in Black Monday or lose out on candidates.
100 of we don’t come up with Mike or Ben Johnson huge missed opportunity.
If Mayo is retained no Sunday ticket renewal, no new purchases on nfl.com or Patriots.com and def no games will be attended.
I will get my Travis Hunter Jersey off EBay.

A Move the Krafts are going to live to Regret. Drake Maye can't overcome Mayo but the Krafts are going to realize that when it's too late. Last place in the Division again at least we'll be in the Top 5 again next year. We'll win something loser Teams win that's Draft Day with all the possibilities. Mayo can't carry any of the HC's jocks in our Division bravo Krafts.

Predictions I hope I am wrong about but worried I won’t be:

Patriots beat the Bills because Mitch Trubisky stinks up the joint.
We lose the #1 pick, end up at 4.
Kraft announces how proud he is of the team for fighting to the last minute and beating a SB favorite, and says that character is why he hired Mayo, so his job is safe.
He says AVP is safe because he doesn’t want to disrupt Maye ( with better coaching and play callling)
He says the defense other than 50 or so big plays was good and who can expect them to overcome injuries and they got better and played their best game against the bills (backups)

With the 4th pick we go defense, citing the fact that last years (useless besides maye) draft was all offense so we owes that pick to the defense and we need to do better against long runs because the run d is good if you take those away.

Armed with a schedule with 8 games against teams with 5 or fewer wins, we “improve” to 5-13 and Kraft takes a victory lap and says “see we got better, I was right about Mayo”.
Oh and we stand they year sitting on 50 mill of unspent cap

I feel that's the case too I'm leaning heavily towards getting Sunday Ticket: and root for a Real a Team this is getting ridiculous. I can't root for Failure.

Jesus i'd rather get a broken bone set.

The Krafts are generally pretty slow on this. I'd be surprised if they did anything on Monday. Tuesday feels like the earliest. If they want Vrabel they will be talking to him via back channels before then.

Please god make it so.
Just need to get through whatever dumb **** is said by the team today and tomorrow... grin and bear the game on Sunday and see if they get the #1 overall pick or blow it somehow... and then sit through the longest 48ish hours ever waiting to see if the Krafts actually do their duty or if we are going to be dealt another Year of Mayo

It's so interesting how Kraft and even Wolf are staying quiet.

Wolf is SVP. He is not visible at all.

Usually Kraft says 1-2 things during the year....not this one.

He has been a ghost since... what... October? Early November?

I think it's multi layered.
  • He's going to say something that tips his hand to the press regarding his plans, so say nothing.
  • He knows the fans don't want to hear his platitudes, so stay silent.
  • He knows the team sucks, so don't go out there and castrate his staff. Shut up.
  • He knows he eff'd up on multiple levels, so don't face the music.

No idea if Vrabel would turn the Jets into a perennial contender but I do know he will make them competent. And with three competent teams in the division, the embarrassment for this team will be reaching new levels.

He won't. The Jets problems are systemic and it starts at the top. Also that market is brutal. One mid season, and he's going to stop being the shiny object and become the loudmouth former Patriot that thinks he knows everything.

This is pretty much how its all gonna go down win or lose sunday. Ive made peace with it. This is going to be a **** team for the foreseeable future.

Will he? His entire system in Tenn was run Henry into the ground...I have no idea why people want Vrabel so bad.

Personally I don't care. The Patriots if the fire Mayo, need a full house cleaning and a real evaluation of the team and search. Flipping Mayo for Vrabel is not the golden carrot desperate fans think it is. There's bigger problems and they have to get it right or we are stuck for several years.

I agree with Breer on this. The Patriots are better off doing full scale search and going through a real process even if it costs them Vrabel over just half assing it and going for a quick fix and not changing the real problems.

Because most people here didn't actually watch TN and only know

1. Vrabel was a former beloved Patriot
2. He learned under BOB who is a Bill guy
3. He had a couple of good records in TN
4. They beat us in the playoffs once 6 years ago.

Some of these people literally can't admit that Vrabel had a loaded roster the three years they made the playoffs, that Tannehill was playing legitimately high level football for awhile, and that once he fatigued Henry and ran some good players off, they went right downhill.

MAYBE Vrabel improved and learned from his mistakes. But realistically there's a lot of people that didn't closely follow that run in TN and have an idea of Vrabel that doesn't match reality and when you mix that with the Patriots fanbase has become pretty desperate the last few years and have been been waiving the banner for any quick change it's just more of that.
