Is this the type of “team culture” we want to keep?

The relevant quote: "There's a reason they're fans. Everybody can say what they think we should be doing. They're not qualified to be doing what Mayo is doing or the Krafts are doing or whatever. They're fans. I appreciate them at times, but sometimes they just gotta know their place..."

this is not revisionist history but i've always thought he sucks but guess what jahlani cheering and booing is the fans place.

This team becomes more unlikeable by the ****ing day...Mayo has empowered these ****ing idiots to speak "their truth"....they can go **** themselves for the most part...or go off and have cocaine and hooker party with Jabril Peppers or a happy ending massage with Krafty Bob

He thinks he is better than us because he makes a lot of money and is “famous.” You’re not curing cancer out there Jalopy, your main job is to help stop the run and without Bentley and Barmore protecting you we all see how lousy you are at that.

He's right but publicly complaining that fans should act like civil human beings towards players and coaches is a losing battle. It's normalized for people to turn the part of their brains off that makes them not act like a rude POS when they're dealing with professional athletes. It isn't going to change for this Tavai or anyone on this team and he'll only make it worse by complaining about it like this.

I am sorry, we pay to see them play competent football. When they play like ****, what should we do? They already make ridiculous money to play a game.

So it’s not our place to have thoughts on the piss product on the field and may or may not justify spending money on to go watch. Got it. Guess it would be no problem if the stands were empty then.

How is he right? That's the bargain with fans. When you are doing well they cheer for you and you get homefield advantage. If you really suck you will earn their ire. If you just want them to "sit down and shut up" you will get neither, and in that scenario they may as well stay home and watch on TV.

It clearly reflects a lack of accountability. Tavai should listen to players like David Andrews.

Gotta love The Mayo Way

52 emboldened individuals, each with a voice, committed to showing up on Sundays, and brain cramping to the media on Mondays.

'I'm proud of my guys. I believe we have taken a giant step forward as men'

That's the thing. On offense, they have the right mindset for the most part. Maye, Henry, and the linemen are accountable. They are being led by a guy with integrity in AVP.

On defense, that's Mayo's side and it's a clown show. These guys are following his example.
