McDermott has said Allen will start in order to preserve his consecutive starts streak... 114 to date, currently the longest active streak in the nfl... I imagine there will be a quick hook... but then again, maybe not... we really don't have a pass rush to pressure the qb... or a sack machine to wreak havoc...

Surely there are some achievable season milestones for Allen or other players that depend on Allen. Buffalo needs to play the beast all game long.

I'd be surprised if Allen only plays a series or two. In addition to season milestones, he's a competitor and would not like to lose to the worst team in the league no matter what the circumstances.

Believe it or not, talk radio actually had a very reasonable discussion about treating this as a preseason game with Maye as the starter and Milton coming in after a couple of series. The benefits of Maye going through another game prep and gametime cycle was their primary objective. Giving him another dose of playing in cold weather and experience playing with an injury are also worth considering. To me this scenario would make the most sense.

TEN, CLE, NYG have to all win, which is would be the ultimate parlay. NE's SOS will go down a bit since BUF's record will worsen, and they played them twice.

He also have a 1.5M bonus if he wins MVP. That's a good incentive as both Josh and Lamar appear to be neck and neck this season.
