As they say in the Fable "be careful what you wish for" ..................................

As one of the very very few draft 2 QBs people with a QB early and Milton late, I don't want him to start because he might win... and I don't think I've ever wanted to tank during the season, ever. I want the 1st, do a couple of trade downs and draft tackles with the 1st 2 picks.
I tried to warn y'all M'rF'rs but nooooo.... didn't listen. Brissett might've been good for the loss.

Cannon arm slinging in tight spots. He was electric. Damn him to hell.

Kid looked sharp against backups and vanilla defense. With his power and placement today, I’d love to see him in a more competitive game, see what we’ve truly got. There’s nothing more valuable. A young promising backup qb is worth a lot.

Not as much as the first overall pick is

Except in 2001...
no. who was the back up in 2001? Going into the season Damon Huard was the back up. Brady out hustled him that year. And yes, the number 1 pick at the time was worth more than Damon Huard... imagine adding a back like ladanian tomlinson to that team

I thought Huard was not on roster until 2002 w Rohan Davey as backups.

Huard was in his late 20s, so he wasn't a promising young backup. Milton was not the backup in 2024.

and hes still not worth as much as the number 1 pick.

doubt you'd get a 6th for milton

Huard is not the promising young backup I was thinking of in 2001. Considering the guy I'm thinking of came in to relieve Bledosoe in game #2, I don't think Huard was really QB2.

Huard was brought in to be the vet back up for Bledsoe. and as I said he got out hussled by Brady.

you want to tilt at windmills, making up things that aren't true, go right ahead.

Not tilting - just responding to your original comment. You're telling me not young and unpromising Huard was QB2 and in the 2nd game, some other guy relieved Bledsoe, and that doesn't compute. There isn't a soul who would've in retrospect not traded a #1 overall pick for that guy who relieved Bledsoe.

Brady beat out Huard in camp, and was made the #2.
Huard was brought in to back-up Bledsoe, originally.

Can we be done with this now?

Milton may want an opportunity to start in NE. Otherwise, will look elsewhere

He played well. Like him as a backup. He was playing against a bunch of guys that will be bagging groceries next week.
