What's gotten lost in the "get rid of Mayo " conversation is we had the best to ever do it.. no coach is better. We had the 32nd ranked roster and he still could only get 4 wins. I doubt anyone out there could do better with the CURRENT roster.

We wouldn't have had maye we would have had McCarthy. How many wins do you think we would have with McCarthy with Bill. I'd say Bill gets 7 wins minimum with Maye starting.

I catch games with names Jules show.. I was watching an episode with Josh McDaniels.. he went into great detail on how Bill sees his staff.. he said that he started off as a quality control guy... Bill then asked if he knew anyone else like him he could recommend. That was caserio that's how nick got his start in the organization.

For those who don't know, the NFL's staffing rules now say that teams cannot prevent coaches from taking upward promotions with other teams, and cannot demand compensation if they leave (they can get draft picks if a minority coach takes an HC position elsewhere). Moreover, they cannot even prohibit them from interviewing, although they can regulate the timing, especially if they make the playoffs.

Maybe I’m mistaken and this has changed but I thought by rule teams could make coordinators who are under contract abide by its terms - but they normally don’t by convention so they can interview with other teams for promotions etc.

No way the Chiefs will happily let Spag go elsewhere without a fight or compensation.

I don't buy that. I think he was as critical of Maye as he was Caleb or Jayden. But I also think he agreed with the general consensus that the 3 at the top of draft were there with good reason. I don't think he ever made any declarations.

People just saw Bill had made some critical comments about the QB his ex team just took and it made a good story.

I'd compare it to rumors about Mills yet he still took Mac Jones.

I'm only saying this because we know bills philosophy with drafting.. he would have traded back or moved around in the first round. Who knows if we even would have taken a QB?. I don't know.. maybe it's just me missing bills structure how he ran an organization.
