With this draft being the weakest draft in quite some time, the key for us is leverage the 1st overall pick in the draft into quality assets!
If we move down to 4-6 and pick up a 2nd this year and a 1st next year, at the minimum, then we should do it!!!!

Hunter = the only blue chip player in this draft. Primarily a corner. But can have some receiver packages in offense.
Ward and sanders = qb’s and we already have one.
McMillan = harry part 3. Stay away from him.
Abdul = undersized and not much power. Pass!
Campbell = very young. Are his arms long enough to stay at tackle?
Burton = best WR in this draft. But not a first round talent in last year’s draft
Banks = heavy feet, offers nothing on the run game!!! Pass !!!!!

its the teams that are not in the pole positions being willing to move up to get a qb... creates leverage because teams 2/3 are not guaranteed to get the player they want...

and if we have to stay put because there are no quality deals to be made, the worst case scenario is we get BPA.

as soon as the season ends wolf should be working the phones letting the entire world know the #1 pick is in play

I would ignore the saint; they are too low. That leaves FIVE potential trade partners.

Winning next week would be a mark of gross negligence with regard to doing what is best for the future of the team.

The lower we go the more that team has to give up.

I think the ideal is a small move to get extra and still land Hunter or Tet. But what if you get 3 ones and a player (one of the 1s being the swap).

I stopped reading after this part. An uneducated and unsubstantiated opinion. If you took the time to study both players, they are nothing a like. Tet is far far greater than Harry.

We need both the Oline and at least one solid WR in free agency this way we can go Hunter and not go biggest need. This sets Hunter up for success at both WR and CB if he has Gonzo and let's say Higgins to take the pressure off to be number 1 allowing him to be both WR & CB however you choose to split that.

Then if we also fix the front 7 we'd be off and running again possibly in the playoff mix as soon as next year.

Same here. I just believe we have so much we can do with this pick. Even if we screw up and win Sunday I still believe we are a worst #2. We could also dangle a package for DK.. I say the 2rd rounder we got for judon. So many options available for us.
