Burrow is leading the leading in TDs.. he's balling. Not sure why his name isn't in the MVP conversation.. I believe becuase of his teams record mostly. Yes we suck on both sides of the LOS. We can't do anything to pressure the QB even when it's 5 man rush. It's embarrassing. The replacements had better players.TRENCHES, YOU WIN IN THE TRENCH.
You can win with mediocre WRS/TES IF you win in the trench.
Look at Cincinnati, look at the STUDS they have on offense...
What is their record?
Yeah, it's not glamorous/sexy FF Stats, but it works.
Tell glaser not to walk through the halls of Gillette without socks on of we hire rex..Hire Rex, f the Jets, let's go eat a god damn snack
Bills game planning, structure and accountability is sorely missed in Foxborough. It should be painfully obvious to all that he never should have been fired.
Reported he was offered the job with a nice salary offer, and he still turned it down. Caley knew this was going to be a disaster. I don't blame him. AVP is here becuase no one wanted the job. AVP has the leverage if ownership were to try to fire him. He did develop Drake! The OL is the reason he can't fully utilize the play book he said in his own words. He didn't come last year, I can't imagine he would this year
He's throwing to straight up Stallions.... imagine vif he actually had a stud OL...Burrow is leading the leading in TDs.. he's balling. Not sure why his name isn't in the MVP conversation.. Great points! As bad as it's been this season and likely losing to tribisky next week because the defense can't stop anything from an offense no matter who's QB. Ownership after next week may shift things and likely alow mayo support on his staff. I believe that Covington and AVP will be here and some support will be added to the staff to support them. Ownership will IMO upgrade this roster all around and if the coaching is still this way then I think we'll see changes at HC.I've gone back and forth on this.
Like, after last year, Belichick really did have to go - it was clear the train had hit the end of the track, and there was nothing really left there - too many issues between him and ownership.
Now, the thing is, you should have done an actual rebuild, instead of 'Fire Bill and we'll be fine', which is what they did. And a QB fell into your lap, and you've wasted a year of him.
I don't think this team goes anywhere with Belichick as the coach this year - but I feel like with the weaker schedule, they could have at least been more competitive. But is that worth keeping him? I dunno.
When I researched this the better offensive lines did not translate to winning as much as QB.TRENCHES, YOU WIN IN THE TRENCH.

Agreed. But chase and Higgins are playing for peanuts this season. So the brown family has short arms and deep pockets. He's throwing to straight up Stallions.... imagine vif he actually had a stud OL...
He'll never have one, because him and his *****es demand all the $.
Look back to the Colts, they were LOADED on offense with PedMan, but they couldn't afford a decent defense because too much $was spent on P and his *****es.
Obviously, if you have Stallions and a decent OC.When I researched this the better offensive lines did not translate to winning as much as QB.
A good QB, a good #1 and #2 receiver and an average line seems to be better than an average receiving group and a good line.
On PFF Bengals pass blocking is ranked 28th, and 30th in run blocking Patriots are 31 (Saints are last) in PB and 32nd in run blocking.
The difference is Burrow throws to Chase and Higgins and Zac Taylor is a great offensive mind.
They have a losing record because they allowed 26,38. 41,37,35, 34 and 44 points in games where they scored 25, 33, 38, 17, 34, 27, 38
Bengals are an absolute horrible example trying to say the Offensive line is important. They averaged 30 points a game in 7 of the losses! They average 28.31 points per game, they are a top 5 offense with an offensive line slightly above the Patriots.
The Bengals show it's about the COACH, QB AND RECEIVERS, the line helps but clearly you don't need one if you have the other things.
Still on Rookie contracts is my guess..without wasting time lookingAgreed. But chase and Higgins are playing for peanuts this season. So the brown family has short arms and deep pockets.
I think like everything in life, a little bit of moderation.Obviously, if you have Stallions and a decent OC.
I think we're on the same page somewhat.
MOST great teams have a good -great(you never really hear about a "Stonewall" anymore). I still believe that TRENCH is where most games are won or lost.
I cannot believe how fast the discipline left the building.Bills game planning, structure and accountability is sorely missed in Foxborough.
BB went 8-9 when he did it and the next 2 OCs have been progressively worse. Whatever mistakes BB made Kraft only made them worse with how he reacted to each. And each reaction has also been progressively worse too. They are the same. They both put unqualified employees in important, attractive positions to fail.
True.C'mon Guys, can't we at least be respectful of the owner of this website?
I suspect it’s ESTIMATED worth has actually gone up as much of that is based on revenues which have increased with the new TV deals far outdistancing the loss of revenue from concessions, parking etc.Does anyone know if the value of the franchise has gone down? I wouldn’t be surprised if it has by a lot.
Kraft and Mayo with their actions and comments basically said it doesn't matter.I cannot believe how fast the discipline left the building.
The Bengals are kind of an outlier because it’s uncommon to have a QB as good as Burrow, plus a WR1 as good as Chase and a WR2 in Higgins who is really a WR1. Their combined ability allows them to transcend bad OL play, but getting all 3 of those guys on 1 squad is a feat - it’s easier to try to get a solid OL and a good QB, or a solid OL and a good receiver, etc.I think like everything in life, a little bit of moderation.
Teams generally win and make it far in the playoffs with a top 5 offense coupled with a top 10 defense. Thus, offense is more important than defense based on that research, but they are both important. Same with Skill positions vs line.
The Broncos win with a really good defense, a great Offensive Line, but below average QB.
Chargers win with 1 good receiver, a great QB and a great Line coupled with a pretty good defense. Remember how bad the Chargers defense was last year with bad coaching?
Chiefs had terrible Offensive tackles the last 2 years but had Mahomes, Reid and a great defense
SO many ways to skin a cat but I'd take Burrow, Chase and Higgins vs the best offensive line in football. Ideally my O-line is at least top 15 in the NFL, my QB is top 3 and I have true #1 and #2 receivers.
Can't underestimate coaching etiher.
