The Patriots have been among the worst in separation for WR's and TE's since 2019, so this is nothing new. What bothers me is that this is a league where the rule changes have allowed medicore QB's and skill players to put up points. Not to mention the league wide talent continues to get worse each season. But even with the lack of talent they have on offense, they still should be able to find a way to put up more points than they have.

This team is so bad, they think Mac Jones had a good cast surrounding him. He didn't, but even he was able to move the ball until last season. I see the flashes of what Maye can do, but he needs to put it together and be able to move the ball more consistently. The theme all season has been he either scores early and then is shut out, or is held down most of the game until garbage time where he pads his stats. I understand it's a touchy subject to criticize Maye because the chance of him being mediocre is going set the franchise back for years. The only way to get the most out of him is to clean house fast and match him up with a creative offensive coach. Mayo needs to go like tomorrow.
I agree with you on the point that he shows flashes and then does something stupid which sometimes takes points off the board. I think he tries to do too much at times. Other times he is going too much with the way the play is called without reading the defense and reacting to it. Experience will help in that aspect
Last game on the INT where Hooper peeled off and the lateral pass to Rham. The first one he may have been throwing to a spot before the play broke down. The Lateral pass he admitted he seen the DE blitzing in but he still threw the pass which was going to turn bad no matter what. Rham either gets blown up or the fumble pass occurs. Eat it or throw it into the ground
I just see those traits that the good ones have. Pocket presence, Arm strength, threading the needed, layering passes, going through his progressions and making something out of nothing plays. Great Leadership.
I think because their talent is so bad right now and the defense allows points he feels every possession needs to yield points so he takes unnecessary chances. If they give him a line and receiver’s and he knows they can hang at least 20/game he hopefully know when to play for another down and manage a game
I think he will because of as I said he has those good traits

I saw him playing with more hand in the dirt, but he's still invisible out there.
He's not invisible, he's facing a double team every play, but you *&^% on every Patriots player so par for the course (as I see you've got your sights on Maye now as well).

White is not an Aaron Donald beat the double team all-pro, but he's shown he can be a solid piece of a good DL. He leaves for a decent team and he'll put up solid numbers both as a run stopper and pass rusher - maybe more with good coaching.

This Patriots DL is full of washed ups, never will be's and never was's with the exception of White and maybe Jennings (again as a role player not "the guy").

Yes, but he went from playing 85% of snaps last year to 20% this year.
some poster advised the team that he would be an excellent starting LG.

TRENCHES, YOU WIN IN THE TRENCH.
You can win with mediocre WRS/TES IF you win in the trench.
Look at Cincinnati, look at the STUDS they have on offense...
What is their record?
Yeah, it's not glamorous/sexy FF Stats, but it works.

This won’t be popular but at this point I kinda wish we just brought back Belichick.
I've gone back and forth on this.

Like, after last year, Belichick really did have to go - it was clear the train had hit the end of the track, and there was nothing really left there - too many issues between him and ownership.

Now, the thing is, you should have done an actual rebuild, instead of 'Fire Bill and we'll be fine', which is what they did. And a QB fell into your lap, and you've wasted a year of him.

I don't think this team goes anywhere with Belichick as the coach this year - but I feel like with the weaker schedule, they could have at least been more competitive. But is that worth keeping him? I dunno.

They’ve won 7 games going on two years now. Saying there’s good players on a team like that is an oxymoron.

And he’s not facing double teams every play. Give me a break.

He had the coaching of Bill and Barmore in the middle last year and was just as invisible.

I don’t think we would have won 10 games but with Mac Jones gone I think at the very least Maye would have gotten better coaching. I know over the last few seasons bad coaching was a slam on Belichick but I think Mac Jones was simply that bad and you just can’t win with him.

So Kraft is going to accept his franchise being devalued just to keep Mayo happy? Billionaire businessmen do not usually operate that way.
Elderly billionaire businessmen make foolish decisions, especially with matters of the heart. He’s feeble minded.

I don’t remember the team under BB looking like they did today. Like they were just there so they don’t get fined. Lol

I can’t believe this guy was a team captain and a storied player here.
Lowkey I think a big problem is mayo wanted to be so different from how Belichick coached and it backfired. Like he thought the team needed a new culture and ****. Maybe it did but we went too far to the other side.

That’s the bag of goods he sold to Kraft to get the gig.
