Mac Jones had a better rookie season than Maye. Patriots should pay attention and make sure that trend stops now.

Maybe “a lot better” is stretching it but Jones had a 90+ rating after his first 8 games along with 4 wins and wasn’t nearly as turnover prone. Point is he was in a far superior situation and there have been high ceiling QBs in the past who were ruined by being part of dumpster fire teams. Maye won’t be immune to that. They gotta fix it now.

I think he won 1 game after the bye, against the lowly Jaguars and got whooped by the Bills in the playoffs.

After some success in the first part of the season he really fell off.

It's been nearly three years since Jon Gruden's NFL coaching career ended, abruptly and unceremoniously after the systemic and selective release of items from the 650,000 document trove harvested during the investigation of the Washington franchise.

“Yeah, I’m interested in coaching,” Gruden told CBSSports.com. “My dad was a college coach, I was a college coach at Pitt, my wife was a cheerleader at Tennessee when I met her. Hell yeah, I’m interested in coaching. I know I can help a team, I know I can help young players get better, and I know I can hire a good staff, and that’s the only thing I can guarantee. But yeah, I’m very interested in coaching at any level, period.”

There should be more connecting Gruden, a proven winner, and the Patriots who have a clueless guy on the sidelines.
