Yes and no. It's the same Brady/BB argument.

A generational talent like Allen makes a team competitive and takes a team to the next level. A good/great coach recognizes how a team should be built, play, and empower the talent on the roster to play well together.

Allen is certainly more important to their success than McDermott is, because good player > good coach

I actually thought the Cam season was kind of fun. If only he could have not underthrown half of his passes we might have been onto something.

A more accurate way to put it would be to say that Josh's 6 rings certainly go a long way in making a case that he's better than other coaches who never won as HCs either.

And an even more simple way of looking at is that I'm sure Josh has a similar level of pride over each of his 6 as Bill does for each of the 2 he got in NY.

I wouldn't say that lol. Are you going to say Josh was better than Andy Reid pre Mahomes? Because then we can start a whole debate on whether Josh is only inferior because he didn't have a QB like Mahomes.

Bill gets credit for his 6 SB's as HC, but his 2 as DC on the Giants are irrelevant to this discussion. No other HC in the league gets celebrated for SB's they got at a coordinator.

It is valid to say that Bill as a HC has shown that he's closer to the guy he was in Cleveland without Brady. Acting like Bill's DC wins are anywhere near comparable to Brady's starting QB SB win in Tampa is just not based in reality.
