Did the team turn on the Krafts when he fired Carroll and hired BB?
Carroll was not a minority.

Glad you made reference to Carroll though. He had 3 whole seasons with a Super Bowl roster.

How is it fair to fire Mayo after 1 season with a depleted roster and a rookie QB who finally started after Jocoby kept getting worse?

Run it back with a blockbuster draft and FA.

The Pats should be able to add 4 - 5 starters. 2 via the draft and 2 or 3 by way of FA.

Winning another game this season is idiotic. Were on to 2025.

You obviously didn't watch them much last year....

They were 4-13 last year. This year they are 3-12. The difference is negligible to all but the most blind homers.
They are dramatically worse aside from the dramatic improvement at QB.
The lost 4 games were they allowed 43 combined points. They scored 16 in those 4 games. Any thing more than league worst QB play and that is at least 8 wins, more likely 10.

It’s fair because he has stunk at his job.
Evaluating him as a coach and ignoring the w/l record says those who knew he wasn’t qualified were right and he’s proving it

Where are the players except for Maye?

With him we’ve won 1 game. I really like Maye but I’m not optimistic the GM will build a capable team around him, or that the 3 Stooges coaching staff is cabling winning, even with a good qb.
If not this year unless they miraculously learn how to coach then they get fired soon but we'd still have Maye. So I'm going to choose to be excited and optimistic about our future with Maye despite whatever other issues we have. Obviously if we are going to win another SB we need more talent around him and better coaching.

Because he was never qualified to be hired as HC in the first place.

He doesn’t have the experience someone should have to be a HC yet.

He schmoozed Kraft into hiring him for non football reasons.

Yes, exactly.

Add FAs like Phifer and A Smith. Draft the next Seymour and get a Matt Light.
Don't forget Vrabel, Cox, Buckley, Patten, pleasant, Compton, Edwards, Izzo, I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. Otis Smith but I think that was 2000.

The whole world knew that.

Kraft hired Mayo regardless.

Hilarious. Now its come to blaming Mayo for Kraft giving him the HC job.

Let me guess. Mayo promised Kraft a Super Bowl trophy? I would take that deal too.

Not to play this game again...but Brady took a franchise with TWO 1500-yard WRs the previous year, a pair of solid TE;s, stacked with 1st-round draft picks across O and D, added Antonio Brown, Gronk, and Fournette, and didn't throw 30 picks like his predecessor (Winston).

As soon as Brady went to Tampa, lots of people said "Super Bowl," including me. That team was a smart QB away. They were loaded with talent, O and D.

The Patriots post-2019 were mega-levels below Tampa in talent, and neither Gronk nor AB were coming back here.
Brady took a Tampa bay franchise that went 5-11 the year before and won a Super Bowl! Try harder next time, you’re digging yourself deeper.

they were devoid of talent because Belichick was the worst GM in the nfl during this period and his porous decisions drove the patriots into mutiny.

Of course they weren’t coming back here…would you come back to BB’s cronyism and draconian style leadership?

Not to play this game again...
And then you play the game again. Almost 5 years later. I have no idea why posters love to repost the same thing over and over for 5 years. Repost the same obvious historical stuff we all know already. But multiple posters keep doing it so there must be some value I don't understand.

There are 52 of them and he is doing a poor job coaching them.
This isn't a criticism of you but when we are talking about Wolf it's obvious he didn't get enough talent for the dollars he spent and for the dollars he left on the table. That's not to say Mayo's coaching hasn't sucked too I guess it's just the tangled web we weave right now. Everyone is to blame.

You told us that Wolfe and Groh didn't do enough in FA.

The 2024 draft looks disappointing after round 1 and NE picked 3rd.

Still you expect at least .500.

He did.

Started numerous threads about Wolfe too.

I expect good coaching and the right culture and mentality. We don’t have that.
