OT: VanNoy

Not a chance. Both are old and slow. Van Noy is a part time DE who is too unathletic to set the edge.

Mason replacing Onwenu is an upgrade? Not a chance. Tampa let Shaq go because he is average at best.
I had a dream. In the dream, the Pats traded Onwenu for whatever (which is irrelevant), but the team that traded for him picked up all of his contract. Then the Pats signed Alex Smith, who is a young (no older than Onwenu, if not younger) and just coming into his prime RG who can block in both Gap and Zone blocking schemes. It'll never happen though, because it was a dream at best, a fantasy at worst.

And Elandon Roberts for Pittsburgh
Again, it's another player that fits his strengths of attacking. He showed flashes here when given opportunities to attack, but Bill's defense has been historically reactionary.

He attacked a lot of the wrong gaps too. Hit or miss type of guy. Pass.

Finding players with the right attitude who fit the system and establishing roles to exploit their strengths while hiding their weaknesses was a big part of the teams success during the dynasty. Until the team re-establishes an identity, it is really difficult to identify players who compliment each other. This doesn't matter as much with elite players like Drake Maye because their talent allows them to be successful in any system. The problem is that the vast majority of the roster is made up of rank and file players who need a system that matches their skills to be successful.
