Kyle Van Noy just recorded another sack. That’s nine and a half this year. That’s a career high for him.

Brady doing commentary just added that Van Noy broke his eye socket earlier this year, and played with a broken face.

Too bad we can’t get guys like that.

Consider the ex-Patriots playing today that would fill major holes in the current roster. Along with Van Noy you can add Shaq Mason (Houston) and Joe Thuney (Kansas City).

Always liked kvn. Was a shame we kicked him loose
He was an invaluable player while he was here. Was smart and worked hard. Good locker room guy and leader. He served his purpose well. As far as the rebuild is concerned, a player such as him would hopefully be a situational/backup type, and not one of our front line/foundational players. On his own, he was never that. But, his type is the kind of player that helps teams get to and win SB's. We'll still need such situational/backup types in the future (which we hopefully can draft them and/or get them in their Mid-20's as FA's). But not have to draft them high or overpay.

Nine or ten sacks, and a character guy who is a locker room leader.

How much would be overpaying for him? Would he be an upgrade to our present roster?

The worst of them all is Thuney. By the time he's done he may end up with a drawer full of SB rings.

Elandon Roberts has also played fairly well when I've seen him. How's Gilmore doing?

The Pats had a yard sale on players. Too bad the Krafts didn't sell the team instead.

If I'm Drake Maye I'm looking for a way out of NE asap.

Thuney is now playing LT for the Chiefs. Too bad we can't get guys like that.
I agree on Thuney. The Pats went cheap. Big mistake that should have been obvious.

Van Noy is very slow. He has always been good at pass rushing, but he can't stop the run or set the edge. Lots of better guys than Van Noy.

KVN was a high 2nd round pick of the Lions. He was a complete bust with them. He can thank his lucky stars that BB traded for him and knew how to play him.

Don't worry about his face. He wasn't that good looking, but he has a very beautiful wife. He gives hope to ugly guys.

Thuney: 9th year in NFL
Fewest games he's played in any season: 15

In comparison at LG: Cole Stange
Games played
2022........17
2023.........10
2024..........0 (as of week 16)

Thuney played LT again vs Houston.

Looks like that's his new role.

Ran into him at Wegman's one time and was amazed nobody recognized him. Had a pleasant conversation with him and wished him well. Nice, humble guy.

F*cking Eliot Wolf told Kraft Brady couldn’t play anymore and ordered Tampa Bay to sign him. And he refused to pay Ty Law as well, and got rid of Randy Moss. Now Randy Miss is sick, f*cking Eliot Wolf.
