Pats probably win that one.
I am assuming they will be picking lower than 3
That's a lot of presumptions:Bils are not going to play all their starters for the second game

The main attraction with Hunter is he can be a shutdown CB AND a WR1. In the old days 2-way players existed. If Hunter has shutdown CB talent you take him. Imagine having 2 shutdown CBs and what impact that would have on the defense.
Hunter projects to be an instant impact player. After this loss to AZ, I think the Pats need to trade out of #3 to get the best OT and sign Tee Higgins. I just don’t see drafting a WR at #3 who may or may not “get it” in year 1,

If Chiefs win at least 1 of next 2 and Bills win next 2 the Bills have to play to win last gameBils are not going to play all their starters for the second game

I don’t think it’s about sucking for the next 3 games, that’s a given, it’s not like their 3 opponents will lie down. 2 against Buffalo and 1 against a desperate Chargers team. I see 3 blowouts coming. We're still in 3rd place according to Tankathon!
Patriots just need to suck for 3 more games.
If the Top 7 teams did not win another game. Would we drop below some of them because of the SOS since we would be playing Buffalo twice and the Chargers who have good recordsWe're still in 3rd place according to Tankathon!

I like the kidwith hunter you get two studs for the price of one and at two positions of need.
No you don't. Nobody plays both ways in the NFL. You either are going to get a pure WR or you are getting a CB who can play in a few gadget plays on offense if that (and frankly I think even if they do that, in a few years they would just transition out).with hunter you get two studs for the price of one and at two positions of need.

I also don't think CB is high on the positions of need list.
We need an OT (probably 2) a C, at least one OG who isn't a paper towel, a WR1, probably a WR 2, at least one really solid LB who won't make the center of the field a total weakness, and a pass rusher first before CB. In fact, you could argue we desperately need a competent kicker as well who isn't going to leave points on the field every game.
Hell, the Pats are actually a worse rushing defense than a pass defense, we need more guys upfront who don't get pushed around.
If we get Hunter, the only real move is to get him to play WR, and I don't think he's even the best WR in the draft. He's probably better served on a team that desperately needs secondary help and could benefit from a few trick plays on offense. That's where the most value will be gotten for him.
In the NFL you can either commit to being a CB and learning how to shut down top flight WR's or you can commit to being a WR and running routes and catching the ball to break coverage in high octane offenses full of creative play design. You can not do both. And even if Hunter somehow could go in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber during practice so he had time to learn both, he'd get burned out late in every single game playing both ways against NFL talent.
Sorry, I meant trading out of the #3 spot (or 2 if the Raiders get a win). As of today, I’m thinking they can draft a cornerstone LT in the draft and a young vet in Higgins in FA but but there are a bunch of things that could happen in FA that might alter my opinion.Hunter projects to be an instant impact player.
Trading down also has drawbacks. We did it last year and missed out on Ladd McConkey and got back two WRs whose production combined don't even touch his.
Ladd McConkey 12 games 58 catches, 815 yards, 4TDs
Ja'Lynn Polk 12 games 87 yards 2 TDs
Javon Baker 8 games, 1 start, 0 everything.
