Wolf has made worse GM decisions than post Brady BB

Correct.

That's what a Hall of Fame owner should do when blessed with the situation Kraft had.
Unless the HOF owner is called on to support his people against attacks like Spygate and Deflategate.

If he HAD, then he could reasonably take some credit for the dynasty, since they might have a couple more SB wins.

I don't think our fan base understood the position he was in (and I'll include myself so I don't have to offer apologies for him.)

Are you suggesting that Kraft was powerless in that situation?

Correct.

What I meant was he didn't put the HC and QB together, but he was trying his best to sabotage it. He meddled, but let BB attempt to crash and burn which didn't happen until 20 years later.

Had he not came out and said this publicly in the documentary, then most of us and media on the outside wouldn't know better and thought Kraft was an integral part of the most successful Franchise since the 2000's. The documentary should put a stain on his sights into the HOF.

I think naming someone as BB’s successor in their contract, also contributed to sabotaging BB.

So I think part of the issue with this thread is the assumption is that if the results are bad the decisions are bad. When that isn't true.

If you choose to sign Player-X over Player-Y and X is a bust and Y plays great then its fair to characterize that as a poor decision.

If you try to sign Player X and Player Y and both laugh at you sign with different teams that wasn't a poor decision.

A lot of the "decisions" are really more the later. There wasn't a great WR or OL that Wolf decided not to sign because he was good with what he had.

The draft failures, at least so far, of course are on him. But the picking a poor WR in 2nd round is basically as BB as you can get.

I didn't like the documentary either, but he presided as owner over the most successful run any team has had over two decades.

You deserve a few years with Billy Sullivan as your sentence!

sabotaging Bill!

So an owner shouldn't even consider looking for a successor to a 71-year old coach. He should commit to him until he is at least 75 or 80!

BTW, please list all the other teams who jumped at the chance to hire Bill. I should qualify, NFL teams.

Why wouldn’t we understand the position he is in? It seemed quite clear.

Brisset laid it out in Reiss' column this morning:

at some point somebody is going to have to watch the film and understand what I was dealing with.

Taking his cue from the coaching staff Jacoby throws his teammates under the bus. We broke the guy who they brought in because he was a selfless team player.

Maybe because you have never been involved in a multi billion dollar partnership with 30 other billionaires.

I dont have to be him to understand the dynamics.

Apparently you do.

Everything was going to happen anyway. It becomes a question of do you shoot yourself in the head too.

It's easy to have an opinion from the stands.

Aren’t your opinions coming from the stands?

You have no way of knowing what would have happened if he fought. And he would have been in the right.

If the Krafts are gm, they should be fired.
Who er was responsible. I realize no UFAs wanted to come here, but that was partly a result of the amateur inexperienced coaching staff hired
