Who Are The Top Tackles Available In Free Agency?

And this here thread about OT is flooded with posts arguing about WRs.

This team is so bad it’s giving fans brain rot.
Blink blonlk vhtrsfh ggrrtys … at least that’s what I think I think I think …

With 100million+ in cap space, money should never be an issue.
The Ravens might resign Ronnie Stanley now. What's the story on Chiefs LT D.J.
Humphries??

We're just going to have to "reach" for Will Campbell (no pun intended) and then eventually move him to Left Guard.

It really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, good (and better) LTs just don't get to FA, there aren't enough of them in the league so they get paid.

That’s because the WR’s at the top have more value than the tackles, and both are needs. The discussion isn’t taking place in a vacuum, there are other options to consider.

Bolles resigning is a major disappointment, though it is a complete no-brainer from Denver's perspective. Bolles was my top free agent target, because bringing him and a starting caliber WR meant flexibility in the draft.

Unless Baltimore lets Stanley walk (why do they???), count me out on looking for a LT in free agency - the draft is the only path.

This also increases the pressure to land the WR1 in free agency. Tee Higgins just made himself another couple million more a year, whether here or with a competitor.

Reports are the draft this year is very scant on potential LT candidates, like scraping the bottom of the barrel. It seems it will take a deep dive into D2 or unknown talent to find any prospects there, and then we’d need Dante to come out of retirement to develop them.

Figured they would start coming off the board. Id be surprised if Baltimore lets stanley walk or the rams let jackson walk. Dan moore in Pittsburgh is 50:50 maybe. They could invest in him long term but theyre essentially giving up on one of their last 2 first rounders if so as theyre both ot’s , unless one converts to guard or something.

I think at the least cam robinson ends up being available, but hes still a worthwhile upgrade to lowe and a solid 2-3 year investment that gives you flexibility with the top pick. Im really not sold on Campbell or banks in that spot.

We should go all out for Cam Robinson and Tee Higgins in FA: that guy below is listed as a LT in FA but he's a Guard on the 49ers website??

Jaylon Moore - San Francisco 49ers Guard - ESPN

That hurts.
I see many Mocks have Josh Simmons going in the First Round. You would think that knee injury would push him completely out of the First. But because LT's are so sparse Today: you wouldn't fault a Team for taking a chance on him there.

Wouldn't expect his snake oils salesman agent to say anything less.

I like it! I'm all for singing Higgins as well. However I do like the DK and Deebo option's too. What about tet McMillan? Hunter is absolutely in our grasp as well. Imagine he and gonzo terrorizing WRs together.
Deebo has fallen off. No thanks. He has played a lot of very hard football and is starting to drop a lot of passes. Pass.

Oooof... Higgins is a very good #2, you start paying #2's like #1's and you'll be pinned to the bottom of the standings for years.
The price of absolutely failing at drafting good WRs is to pay a free agent. Top wr free agents will demand market which is 25-30m. Our hope would be Travis Hunter turns into that stud WR1 and Higgins is good enough they can’t constantly double Hunter. You can blame our Patriots front office awful scouting and drafting of WRs for this predicament.

Moore was an OT in college but was converted to OG by the Niners and he hadn’t been successful there. He has been filling in for Trent Williams and got high marks for his first three games at LT. Not sure how he fared against the Rams last night.

Robinson has had a decent/solid career so far, but he probably will get overpaid in the off-season. I’m only lukewarm on him.

The most interesting UFA OT in my opinion is Alaric Jackson of the Rams. originally undrafted, free agent, he became their starting LT in 2023. In 2023, he gave up only one sack and committed only three penalties the entire season. Lowe and Jacobs can up those numbers in one half. He was given a second round tender as a restricted free agent last off-season, but is now scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent for the first time.

Sadly, the Rams are in decent shape from a cap standpoint, and will probably make re-signing him a priority in the off-season. He’s not worthy of the franchise tag, so if he decides that he wants to test his market across the league instead of resigning with the Rams prior to the starter for agency, the Pats should pounce.

Yes tee higgins, cam Robinson , and travis hunter would be a tremendous start to getting help for drake. Im honestly not familiar at all with Jaylon moore. Dan moore from Pittsburgh is worth a look if he makes it though

He'd still be better than WR we currently have on the roster. Deebo for a 5th rounder you definitely make that deal. He wouldn't be a #1 here that guy is Higgins or DK..
