Who Do You Trust To Make The Staff Changes?

You take that chance based on the evidence: he could have had his pick of jobs last years and passed great for us.
Your right brother. But your have to always weigh the odds. Not all great OCs make good HCs. Mc Daniels is a fantastic OC not so much as a HC. Ben Johnson is in a fabulous situation. A great roster, QB, OL, WRs. If he takes a HC job Chicago should be the destination. You want to go somewhere where the QB and roster is in place. If not then the success rate isn't that high.

He also said that Maye “ wasn’t Josh Allen” and that “ Allen is special and Maye isn’t.”
Can you give me a link to that?

I just searched and the only thing that came up was this: "We'll see about that," Belichick said. "...He's going to need some work reading coverages ... he's quick to come off receivers"

For all who want to can AVP and staff - just consider...
Most of the NFL "experts" thought Maye would be a disaster if he had to play this year. He wasn't ready, he's too young, he didn't start enough in college, the team around him sucks...
So, this staff must be competent enough to have Maye far past the development stage that everyone - even Brady - thought.

I'm much more willing to give AVP another year than Mayo, and certainly DC - who has destroyed a very good D in mere months.
Absolutely agree. As you've seen me post I'm down on the defense as well becuase there should be no excuse being it's Mayo's wheelhouse. But good OCs wanting to be HCs need to go somewhere where the QB is in place. If ben Johnson went somewhere without the the QB then he'd be no different than many before him

Some Good Proven Coordinators will be available on Black Monday. We have money and premium Draft position too.
Are they going to want to work with Mayo though? That was something I've mentioned and now Breer mentioned that he doesn't have any network with coaches around the NFL to build a staff.
I don't disagree, but I think Kraft does. He probably looks at it as less Mayo vs. Johnson and more can Mayo improve the team to get them back to winning. If not, then consider Johnson. But he wants to see if his investment in Mayo pays off. I don't think he's going to pull the plug after one season because many people report Kraft's support for Mayo is still strong.
Also, we don't know what their contract is with Mayo. Bob is paying Bill this season and how many more years would he be paying Jerod if he's fired after 2024?

Mayo hasn't gotten to year two yet. Maye is keeping the team competitive and I think Mayo can convince Kraft that he'll be able to fix the defense in the offseason. I wouldn't be shocked if Mayo got fired, but I would be surprised.
I have more belief in Mayo fixing the defense than getting fired right now. Especially after one season. Getting players up front, adding experienced coaches on defense is pivotal.

And none of that will help his HOF chances. Wich is a joke he's not in and Jerry is who hasn't won anything since the 90s.. as bad as we may want coaching changes nothing is happening until at least next season.

Square peg in a around hole. Rk didn't give it much thought did he??

Brother I think if thing's got worse mayo would walk away. He's not going to get fired. Coaches work 6am to 6pm all week.. it is a grueling job especially when you have a family.

He also said that comparisons to Josh Allen weren’t accurate, that Allen is special, and Maye is no Josh Allen. And the truth is that Maye is a better prospect than Allen was, as Allen had major accuracy issues coming into the league, and that’s huge red flag. No one can listen to that and come away believing Belichick would have drafted Maye. Anyone who does isn’t a serious person.

But Bill Belichick wouldn’t have made that pick.
While I lean toward you are probably correct about that, we don't know what he would have down. I Billy O or whomever the OC was said Maye is our guy then Bill may have said OK lets get us our QB.

Nope. Belichick would have gone after Baker mayfield, or taken the trade offer to move down. He wasn’t taking Maye.

Link?

Because I searched and found nothing like that.

Mayfield signed long before the draft.

Belichick never traded down when he had a top pick

2008 Draft
BB traded down from #7 to #10 and selected Mayo

I was the person arguing with many posters here that they had to take either Maye or Daniels with the 3rd pick. Daniels vs was my preference early on, but I bought into the argument that he would have trouble throwing to the middle of the field, and went with Maye in the month leading up to the draft. So I’m very clear about how many fans here didn’t want Maye, as they argued that only 30% of 1st round QB’s succeed, and they either wanted Harrison Jr., Alt, or the trade down.

Daniels was my top choice too, everything about his game was polished. But Williams was gone, Daniels was gone, so Pats did not have a choice, no big whoop. Trading down, nah Wolf would not have th b**ls to do that. I am sure there were some on this board that wanted to trade down (there a lot of people on this board !!). But to say over half of this board wanted to trade down thats seems disingenuous.

I saw at least a few that were arguing to trade down, many of us were against that move.
I wanted either Maye or Daniels, and hoped for Maye.
We needed to take a chance on another QB IMO.
