DRAFT 2025 Patriots Draft Prospects

Maybe a better oline would give that extra second to separate. Anyway, WR's are low on my list. OL/DL/Edge/LB. Offense sans penalties and better goal line utilization of Drake would be adequate.
So who will Drake throw too? Is that fair to do to our young star QB? Not improve his weapons? Leave him with the worst wide receivers in the NFL?

Settle down.
He'll get someone better than "Let's miss on Ladd and draft this fkn loser Polk."
I wanna crush him everyday for that, and that was BEFORE Ladd made it official.
Anyone with a brain knew this...Ohh was a slot, we had enough " GFY You fkn idiot.

Signing a bad LT with a big contract is a terrible idea.
Wolf signed a FA RT to be a LT and then drafted a RT to be a LT. Wolf routinely has terrible ideas.

We could have drafted McConkey in 2024 and another guy in R2 in 2025 and had an above average WR core.

trading back for Polk and Dumbass Baker was definitely the right plan..like signing Aaron Rodgers...

I didn't mean to quote myself.. pretty dumbass, but far ahead of what these asshats do every week.

We’ll have plenty of time to scrutinize Higgins between the end of the season and free agency, but what sticks out to me right now is that the numbers say he should be playing in the slot more.

According to NFL Pro, he has an obscene 3.9 receiving yards per route in the slot, but only 1.8 out wide. He’s only in the slot 21% of the time, but 37% of his receiving yards have come there. (For comparison, Chase is an even 2.6 both out wide and in the slot.)

There’s nothing wrong with signing him to play more in the slot if he’s going to be that productive there. I’m just concerned that a team is going to sign him to play outside on every snap and wonder where ~20% of his production went.

I'm going to keep my eye on CB Emmanuel Forbes who got cut by Washington and picked up on waivers by the Rams. No doubt teams passed on him because of his rookie 1st round contract, but I'd really like to know why the Patriots passed on him. We need a bigger CB at the other spot and he has size. I trust Marcus Jones in the slot, and Austin seems like that utility dime back, the 3rd guy downfield.

?

Forbes is tiny. He’s the Tyquan Thornton of defensive backs. I think you have him confused with another CB Upstater.

That's how some of the Belichickans think anybody can play WR: we have lived through his WR selections. WR will be the early Value in this upcoming Draft: unless some LT Prospect blows out doors off in a workout.

Trying to save the Krafts money they have plenty to burn twice over. Somebody is going to give Higgins $30Mill a year I hope it's us: he had close to and over 1000yds his First Three years in the League that's all the evidence I need and he's still very young.

I agree he's the Tyquan Thornton.

I was thinking of Forbes. He played very well against New England last year.

What I meant was, he's 6'1". I agree he's incredibly slight. But like Tyquan, he has height.

Probably because he is built like Tyquan Thornton.

It's mind boggling to me that we're still talking about the Harry pick from 2019, and 5 WRs taken in that draft before Metcalf are totally out of the NFL. AJ Brown isn't even with his original team anymore.

It was a bad pick from long ago, but we're still harping on it. If that pick was AJ Brown, chances are we wouldn't have resinged him. Who knows if we'd be bad enough to pick Drake Maye.

But here's the crazy thing: we pick Polk over Ladd McConkey this year, and McConkey looks like Cooper Kupp out there!

We made a big WR mistake THIS YEAR yet we're looking backward at 6 years ago!

NOW READ THIS:

From ESPN

First-time Pro Bowl nominee: Linebacker Mack Wilson Sr.

The offseason free agent signing has played as well as the Cardinals had hoped at inside and outside linebacker. He has three sacks to complement 62 tackles. He also has four passes defended and an interception. He has been doing it all for Arizona's defense. -- Josh Weinfuss

Wilson didn’t play like a pro bowl player when he was here.

If Higgins medically checks out, I'd pursue him. But, I'd still be looking for a WR in the 2025 Draft who has legit potential to be a #1 (although I'd settle for a legit upper end #2 alongside Higgins. There were those two back to back drafts when some #1 and upper #2 WR's were taken and we whiffed sadly. Metcalf, Brown, Higgins, Pittman Jr., and Samuel came out of those two 2nd Rounds. I suppose you don't need a stud WR in the 1st round, if history has taught us anything. We just need personnel people that can spot them. Even so, it's always a gamble I guess.

The numbers Sciz posted should scare everyone away from Higgins. You can’t give a guy who can’t win big on the outside 30 million a year.

He finally care around in the last several games. I though he looked great. It took him awhile to pick up the defense. But a pass covering tackle machine is exactly what we need right now

@upstater1 What's your take on Drew Allar?? Thanks.

I don't understand why he's not more productive. I want to blame everything on the coaches there since they've been terrible with QBs their entire time at that school.

This kid is hugely talented, he's mobile, he can throw off platform, has a very accurate rocket arm.

He's like a bigger, slower Drake Maye.

But he does not process well at all. He locks into his WRs and can't seem to go through his progressions.

He takes care of the ball and plays really careful, but then inexplicably throws an INT at the worst time.

It would not surprise me at all if an offensive minded coach turns this kid into a Pro Bowl QB in the NFL. All the tools are there.

I hope so. Unfortunately our front office doesn't think as logically as you. Kraft doesn't hold ANYONE involved in our wide receiver decisions accountable for their catastrophe's. How many passes do they get?
