You're assuming that they start hitting on draft picks, bring in FA's and Mayo actually starts....coaching in order for this to happen. This is not a guarantee.

The common denominator here was that Harbaugh and Parcells were both successful HC's with their prior organizations. Bill Belichick was regarded among the best DC's in the league and had been a HC before.

Mayo has done nothing and doesn't have a track record to prove why we should be patient with him.
What comes into fruition to me is that RK in 2001 as accomplished and experienced as BB was he still was ready to move on from Bill. Owners don't have long patience for coaches. I believe Mayo's got time.. however if things still look the same way from a coaching aspect and the on field products not good with a revamped roster come next season then I believe everything is on the table.

He must have seen something in order for Kiam to sign him away from the Giants.
He wasn’t signed away from the giants
He was retired for 2 years and came her solely because it was a blank canvass.

Is there a history of bad coaches growing into good coaches in the NFL in one stop? Are bad talent evaluators turning into good evaluators once they have the reins?

We have a young, true franchise quarterback, loads of cap space, and good draft capital. Why hope when we can have success getting an elite coaching staff and front office on the market? This offseason, we will be the most desired landing space in the NFL as long as Kraft promises to hand over the keys to the new staff. We know our past greatness was from the Belichick/Brady combo that is now being repeated in KC. Why not shoot for a new dynasty now?
Bring Vrabel in

That’s really painful to read when you collect them all like that.

Of course cherry picked sound bites are going to be painful. ****, I could select a bunch of crap I’ve written online to make me look like the second coming of Lucifer (or Jesus for that matter) if I so chose to. Fact is everything can be manipulated for the bad along with the “good”. @onegr8om came to the right place to get the much needed frustration out though. Must say it’s become my favorite place to do so. I’d go as far as saying getting almost no blowback for saying things is great. Good thing going on here for us fans so kudos to @Ian et al.

The 95 patriots went 6-10 couldn’t score touchdowns. They draft Terry Glenn the next year…their offense instantly changed. Bledsoe got his Glenn. Maye needs somebody like that

Good Morning, Pats Nation. I've been letting it SIMMER all season, but I NEED to get this out.

The New England Patriots started the 2024 season at GROUND ZERO. New Coach, New GM, New OC, New DC, New QB etc. They had to sweep away the crumbs of the Belichick regime(HOF regime, but it WAS time) and start over. They had to bring everyone together and come up with a new plan. The entire playbook is new, the offense had to be installed, taught, learned and put in use in a little over 6 months.

My point is this....Let's give it a little bit longer (or a LOT) to see what we REALLY have. There's so much negativity and hate about the coach, the system, the defense the GM etc. I don't think it's fair to expect much more than what we've seen so far. It hasn't been great. Shoot it hasn't even been GOOD, but considering where they started, it's a step in the right direction. It looks like they found the hardest part, the QB. I'm not ready to assign blame to Mayo or Wolf. We need to see more.

This offseason will be more telling than anything. If they can surround MAYE with Talent(OL/WR) and bring in some help for the D, we could easily be a playoff team next season, or better! AND for the "Haters", please cancel your season tickets! lol I've been on the waiting list since February of 2005. It'll be 20 years this offseason and I'd be HAPPY to have season tickets of my own. Think Positive and have some faith. We're in a better position than a LOT of other fanbases. GO PATRIOTS!!!
No. This has been a disastrous season, with the team moving backwards except at QB. Are you sure you’ve been watching the same team?

Parcells had retired; he was not head coach of the Giants. James Orthwein was the owner of the Patriots, not Kiam, who signed Parcells. And Parcells knew that the Pats had the number one pick in the upcoming draft with an outstanding prospect named Drew Bledsoe available. This information is readily available on the internet. Please check before making your argument.
