Not pointing blame at all for the injury. Yes, it was freak thing. The question isn’t how it happened, but it VERY much matters how he goes from here. Knee injuries are no joke and not some minor blemish. It has and does critically impact careers going forward when having one of significance. That’s been athletics 101 that it can dramatically vary on whether guys are ever the same or can continue positive trajectory. We’ll see and just have to hope it works out.
Yep, this is a bad injury. Some never come back from it

We are really hurting more at guard than center.

David Andrews, Ben Bron, Jake Andrews, Cole Strange.

That's a lot of centers when we have Michael Jordan still starting at guard.

When considering the state of our offensive Tackles & current starting Center, it seems to me that LG is 4th out of 5 on the list of What's Wrong with this offensive Line.

If Strange can provide an upgrade at either LG or Center in the last few games, and then works at Center all offseason, then he may be a good long-term replacement for Andrews - who may be done - while keeping chemistry at LG for 1 more year? And if Wallace can do the same at RT, then all we'll absolutely need for next year is a blue-chip LT.

Rookie/FA - Strange/Sow - Andrews/Strange - Onwenu - Wallace

with Robinson, Brown, Lowe, C. Jones as backups.

From the day Travis Jones demolished Cole Strange like a rag doll at the senior bowl was enough for me. We reached for the wrong guy. UCONN was right in Bills backyard.

Well, the post I replied to wasn't about tackles. It was about Strange being needed more at center. Unless you're saying he should be our left tackle.

Like I said, you have 3 guys for center next year already. Between Andrews, Andrews and Brown, you're more stocked there than you will be at guard if you move Strange to center. Then you'll have 4 centers and Michael Jordan backed by Sidy Sow.

I'd rather see Strange at LG and David Andrews or Jake Andrews at G than have Strange at C and Jordan at LG.

Well if you’re talking this season, two of those guys are out for the year. And there’s serious speculation David Andrews might retire too.

But yeah, they’re weak at center and guard this year. Neither Jordan nor Brown are viable starters at LG or C. But really it’s about the long term. Long term, they need a new starting center and a new starting guard. Strange could be one if he stays healthy and continues to improve. Centers are harder to find so it’s better for the team if he grows to lock that spot down vs guard.

I think it would be valuable to see him at center for a few games. Might turn out to be something.

C. Jones?

Caleb Jones. He's been on our practice squad since week 2 or 3. Not sure I'd include him in next year's mix but I suppose he is a body and a big one at that.

Forgot about him, though I consider Jacobs a better candidate for one of those OT spots than Jones; he’s a much better athlete.

To be fair though, Vernon Gholston’s claim to fame was beating up on Jake Long. Long was okay, but Gholston was a massive bust.

I just looked at Gholston’s stats and can’t believe he didn’t record ONE sack in his career. I had to go to other sources because I thought it was a mistake.

Better OL..

Lowe - Strange - Benny Brown - Onwenu - Wallace

Need Caedence Wallace to show that he can hold down that RT spot.
That’s not a terrible line if Lowe keeps the penalties down and Wallace plays average at RT..which he should be able to do. Both tackles will have 2 solid vets next to them at G.

Wow.. now the line starts to perform at all pro level and javon baker over last 4 games gets 500 yards 5 TDs and Polk gets 200 yards 2 TD .

And we win all last 4 games...( B4 u ask I am sane, sober and not under influence of anything) ... Trying to wear a hyper optimistic hat prior to Christmas.

And we drop to pick 15. What will our off-season and drafting strategy in this highly unlikely scenario ....

V Lowe seems like he could improve into decent RT spot LT. Not saying much but he's been the Best Tackle on this current Team.
