DRAFT 2025 Patriots Draft Prospects

That would be Great: the 2025 Draft is a far cry from 2024: you don't want to be paying a high selection in a weak Draft Big Money. I wouldn't mind us being out of the Top 10 do it Maye make it happen.

The best thing that could happen in a weak draft is getting a top 3-5 draft pick and some team trading a haul for a slight trade back. Close games with slight loses and that outcome would probably be the best way to boosts this teams talent level in drakes rookie contract. He’s showing the talent, so even if we Finnish bottom 5 with the hype he’s currently getting, it might be easier then one would think to acquire some talent in FA, which basically at this point, is your only point in actually trying to win games.

I presume at this point we are picking in the 5 - 8 range.

McMillan seems like he will be the best value/need match. I'll take him.

Then, the mission is to get back into round 1 and select the best tackle available. RT, LT, no matter. Savaiinea may be out of reach, but Milum has piqued my interest.

Defense the rest of the way, unless there's an intrequing TE somewhere in the mix.

We need a RB in mold of J Gibbs and B Robinson...Rham is meh.

There is an entire forum for this...

@Real fan 02: doing some WR Scouting some really intresting propects in this Draft.

Tre Harris 6-2 205

Elic Ayemanor 6-2 210

Kyren Lacy 6-2 215

Jayden Higgins 6-3 210

As you can see I am going for height if we decide to go OL First. 2025 WR class not as a Rich as the top of 2024 but looks decent nonetheless. Hello Elliott Wolf.

How much of that is the OL?
They are both very Talented I'm talking S Barkley type talented. They can both take over a game from the RB position.

I’m sure that he will go top 10 and his size and catch radius are absurd, but he isn’t even the consensus WR1 in the draft at this point and if he had been available in last year‘s draft, he would’ve been no higher than WR3 and maybe even WR4. I would be OK with him in the 5 to 10 range (preferably closer to 10), but he’s not a top 5 pick in the draft with a strong WR class. I’ll be interested to see how he tests at the combine in terms of change of direction and explosiveness, because separating at the college level and in the NFL is an apples to oranges comparison, as we painfully experienced with Harry.

He kind of reminds me of a Josh Gordon while he was at Baylor. In not sure he’s as physically as gifted, but that’s what I seen when I watch him play.

I’d take a young good kid Josh Gordon over just about any other receiver I can think of.

Can I have em all PF2 I'd take any one if them to go along with tree top catch out the sky Higgins who you have me really, really feeling like he's our guy in FA

Johnston definitely isn't Harry level bad but if that's all we get out of our top 10 pick we're gonna be in trouble. Maybe McMillan is better but I don't see it. Also think his skill set would be a little redundant if we signed Higgins. If you're looking to draft that type of WR, I'd feel better about Tre Harris at the top of the 2nd, I think he has a lot of skill.
Sign Higgins for 30 million . We saved the cash for him . Doubt anyone else comes close to that .

I like him too Harris looks like a good player a mix between A.J. Brown and Metcalf.

Absolutely agree. Chase will brake the bank in Cincy.. I feel very good about our chances.. PatsFan2 brought up the same thing.. I'm really thinking it's a realistic possibility

Harry doesn't have McMillan's speed...completely different players. I'm completely sold on Tetairoa McMillan.
How do you know what McMillan‘s true speed is? Unless you know his personal trainer or someone on the Arizona coaching staff, you don’t.

I’d be surprised if McMillan runs a sub 4.5 forty. Harry’s athleticism wasn’t the problem. His RAS and SPARQ were excellent. In addition to being second in his draft class in contested catches his final year, he led his draft class in explosive plays (receptions greater than 15 yards). His main issues were/are his footwork, release, change of direction abilities and, in my opinion, work ethic.

I am by no means expecting McMillan to be a Harry-like bust but there is a middle ground between Harry and and elite NFL receiver and I’m not convinced that McMillan is going to end up being worthy of the top 10 pick that he is expected to be, in a down year for high-end wide receivers.

I'm hearing good things about Egbuka...like
Egbuka is listed at (although we'll find out at the Combine/Pro-Day) 6'1 and 205. He's said to run a 4.30 40. Justin Jefferson is 6'1 and 195 and ran a 4.43 40 at the Combine. Some on here have said to me that Egbuka isn't J.J. Well, J.J. wasn't J.J. until he got going in the NFL (and wasn't the first or possibly even 2nd WR drafted. He could have come out in the 2024 Draft, but I suspect he didn't because it was a 1st Round heavy WR Draft and he rightly deduced that he could go higher in 2025.

Some of the best WR's in the NFL ran a 4.5 something at the Combine: A.J. Brown, Deebo Samuel, Michael Pittman Jr. , Tee Higgins, Etc. As we've seen, blazing speed is useless (Tyquan Thornton, Etc.) if you you can run routes and catch the ball.

I don't think he's a speed guy I think he'll translate as a all around player. A guy who can play in the slot and also outside.

You kinda lost me not going to lie... my eye for College WR's who becomes very good pros speaks for itself. I wish BB paid attention to this Board he would still be Coaching Today. A blind person could have made better picks at WR than BB and his WR scouts. No wonder he paid them peanuts. That said just trust the process.

I like all those guys below very similar players: I leaning towards Big WR's. No more Midget WR's like Pop Douglas who have poor catch radius.
