Yep. WR that early in the draft is extremely risky. He'd have to be a once in a generation Calvin Johnson type player for me to take a risk.

McMillan can learn and Grow with a Tee Higgins: clueless Pop Douglas is a #3 at best. That play by him at the end of the Game was egregious.

If they can't get him, Emeka Egbuka could be a legit #1 WR who's actually bigger, and faster than Justin Jefferson (JJ 6'1 195 4.43 40, Egbuka 6'1 205, sub 4.40 with a possible 4.30 40 time).

Worst draft move by the Pats in the 2024 draft. I was so mad when it happened. I liked Polk, but liked McConkey way more. He seemed like he would’ve been the perfect Patriot.

Exactly. The Patriots have failed at this for years and frankly, we had issues at WR when we had much better offensive lines it still hurt our offense badly.

At some point the Patriots actually need to just aggressively prioritize the position, because acting like they can just find a guy late in the first or early second OR get some sort of bargain in free agency has not been happening. They need to just identify the most fail proof prospects in the draft or spend big money in free agency and not worry about how it effects cap longterm.

They haven't earned the right to be stingy on the position anymore.

Trade Stevenson to whereever Belichick goes.
Get a back with true playmaking, explosive ability.
We really just need 2 game breaking WRs, with the cap and draft should be doable.
Shockingly, free safety and defensive back needs upgraded, D End needs upgraded.
Coverage Linebackers need to be upgraded, coaching needs upgraded, Kraft should be planning to pair Maye with Ben Johnson, Joe Brady, Josh McDaniels, or bring in a tone setter in Mike Vrabel.

No they are not lol. The Patriots have shown they have no business punting on that position. Their offense has been inept and their receivers for years have been getting the worst seperation in the league. They suck and are easily the weakest link on the team and have been since 2019.
