steroids are prescribed on a regular basis EVERY DAY, EVERY HOUR. they are good in moderation, just like many other prescription medications. if you came to me with say, bells palsy (half your face parylized due to a inflammation of cranial nerve seven), and i told you i could either prescribe you a cycle of steroids (there are thousands of kinds, ranging from infant-safe to a-bombs, the stuff the germans came up with in wwII) or you could have a chance that the nerve would suffer permanant damage, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?
you would take the steroids that i prescribe. in moderation, they wont grow muscles, and they will not hurt your internal organs.
if you think that steroids are muscles in a bottle, you are sorely mistaken.
as for them being as illegal as cocaine, steroids are not illegal. they are only illegal to possess without permission from a doctor. steroids save lives on a regular basis, including the lives of infants.
im not saying that teenage kids should be able to use roids. theres a reason you can only get them through a doctor. but too many people have the wrong perception of what a steroid actually is.

I agree with most in this thread. The problem isn’t that steroids are BAD...it's that they are not used correctly and under the care of a professional. That's what makes them dangerous.

When used correctly, they have a very beneficial role in medical science.

FWIW- HGH and Anabolic Steroids are two completely different things.

hgh is not foreign! it is a naturally occurring substance produced by your pituitary gland. over time it releases less and less hgh into your bloodstream. it is a hormone, just like testosterone makes you a man, growth hormone makes you grow. rodney is at an age now where if he were to replenish his hgh to what his levels were in his mid 20's, it would do wonders for his overall health. it would not grow him muscles, or make him super-human. only bring him back to the health he was back then. this is why all the celebrities use it now, because it keeps you young.
it is pretty funny when you see someone who overdosed on it. picture peyton manning with a longer jaw and huge ears. lol

I don't get why anyone would be upset with what someone else chooses to put in their body. Honestly, I couldn't care less what someone, let alone an athlete I'll never meet, smokes/snorts/drinks/eats/shoots.
