I would love to splurge on reed to line up with gonzo, and add an impact edge to go with barmore and white up front. This defense would be nasty! Lt and higgins are on my list too.

I would add a young Center to the list. Even if Johnson is the long-term answer, having a more than capable young backup is essential. I'm leery of Jake Andrews and not sure that Strange can make the transition to Center (which would be great). We still don't know if Strange is the answer at LG yet (I hope that he is). There's no such thing as too great an OL for Maye not only in pass protection, but to provide for a solid running game which would also benefit Maye.

We absolutely need a true solid and young FS in the secondary. There were two true and solid young ones available in FA last year and they didn't break the bank, yet we didn't try to get one (they both lasted until the latter part of FA signings). I believe that was a mistake by Wolf.

He's probably as healthy as he has been in a long time. His body got a break it otherwise wouldn't have. It might take some time to get back into full football shape but you can play your way back into that.

We absolutely need a true solid and young FS in the secondary. There were two true and solid young ones available in FA last year and they didn't break the bank, yet we didn't try to get one (they both lasted until the latter part of FA signings). I believe that was a mistake by Wolf.

I'd argue that Hawkins has been the defense's weakest link this year. Ive kept my eye on him.

Gonzo is a man on a different level compared to his teammates in the secondary.. the S position has been a revolving door this season.. no peppers and Dugger to anchor it. Hawkins is solid but a rotational player not a full time starter.. pettus I really like this guy.. he hits like peppers and has attitude.. I'd like to see dial have marco Wilson's snaps.

Agreed. Not having a talented legit FS back there has been a serious problem. Wolf could have addressed it in FA, but chose not to. That's one of the reasons why I have very little, if any confidence in Wolf.
