Gibson and Hasty have minus -1 yard in almost Four games combined...talk about abysmal. I don't know what they see in Hasty he's a Horrific player at RB, every run from him is a Loss, Gibby is not far behind either. RB is also a Need in 2025.
A good line would help too.

I didn't think it was a bad pass; I think it would have been completed without the interception by Hooker. It was a good play by Hooker and a poor sell by Bourne.
I agree with you mostly. They were going into the wind for some unknown reason, so Maye had to put more zip on the throw. It might have been intercepted anyway, but Maye did throw it without enough velocity.

Sounds about right for Mayo. He was too busy staring into space silently contemplating his life choices on the sidelines all game to do anything about any of that.
Got to pick a nit about that contemplating stuff. I don't think there's any contemplating going on, he's in screensaver mode.

Minority opinion here. I don't think the RB's are terrible. I even like Kevin Harris. You have to have at least a sliver of a hole. I watch with envy when I see a hole a yard wide between 2 OL men and a RB hitting the hole in stride. I don't think it's all ability, I think coaching has a lot to do with it.

I haven't heard any Keion White love unless the draft comes up, but that dude is awful!
No worries, we only passed on stud WR Jayden Reed for this turkey. Would be nice for Maye to have legitimate NFL weapons who actually put fear into a defense.

In the 4 games Maye played and only counting the runs when he was in the Jets game:

54 carries for 101 yards by running backs for a 1.87 yards per carry
Jets were the best game 9 rushes for 22 yards and 2.44 per carry
Titans 12 carries for 15 yards 1.25 per carry.
Longest run: 11 yards

Maye: 19 carries for 197 yards 10.36 per carry.
Long run: 26 yards

They are not even stacking the box most of the time like they did with Jacoby in there.

But it is better than the BoB offense of last year.

Matt Patricia really deserves an apology cake at this point
Maye and Mayo could be like the andrew luck and chuck pagano combo. This chuck pagano team

I don't know the reality, but Mayo said the wind changed from beginning of game to the end, Maye said the wind was in his face and did not throw it hard enough to compensate.
Bad throw, easy pick but on that tape looks like the right decision. Maye has not historically missed by that much so I'm thinking wind was a factor. Too bad because that would have been a possible TD and incredible ending. I guess it is best because if after that tying TD at end of game he then threw this Overtime TD....the hype would be insane. 1 Play goes from insane hype to rookie mistake. I'll take it.
Then again, I'm on board with getting #1 overall and losing games like this.
I'd like to see less hits on Maye but every play is a learning experience for a young QB.
It is all about next year and the year after and getting talent around him. Get a top 3 pick and add a playmaker to the offense.
Mayo couldve picked the correct end going with the wind then when they lost the OT toss?

For this iteration of Patriots team, I'm fulling expecting this type of play design, the butt fumble and Wayne Fontes deciding to kickoff in overtime (this kinda already happened yesterday with Mayo deciding to throw into the wind in overtime).

I just chuckle whenever I see this. Ultimate brain freeze.

On a positive kyeed reporting that Barmore will be returning to practice soon!

Thats good, at least we can hopefully see what the defense looks like with barmore in there. I think we hafta spend big at cb and edge regardless along with some depth signings at all 3 levels but interested to see how the rest looks with him in there.

I don’t know about that?

most of the bad games

KC Priest Holmes 30-180 2tds
Chargers LT 27-217 2tds
Dolphins ricky williams 36-105
Green Bay Ahman Green. 31-136 1td
Denver Clinton Portia 26–111 2tds
Dolphins Ricky Williams 31-185 2Tds

There are still a couple more like Eddie George and others.
True but most of those guys have strong HOF cases or are actual HOF'ers.

Pats haven't faced anyone near that caliber of back and other teams are still getting chunk runs off them and have no problem running at us over and over again. 2002 also had way more talent than this group even if some guys were miscast in their roles.

Yes! What a welcome sight for him. I've said CB myself.. I sensed this back in the off season.. I don't think the team envisioned all the top players on defense would be hurt or on the commissioner list. Marco wilson has been a disaster at CB.. she's the new myles Bryant.. Alex Austin is a young player with upside he has a chance to get better.. I don't know what's up with Bolden. I like Hawkins at FS.. but without Dugger or peppers back there it's a glaring hole. I see us going heavily on defense in 2035 draft.

In order of need in draft: LT, DL, DT,LB,

First off... damn guys, GO FOR TWO AND THE WIN! The defense sucked all day and you decide to bank on that unit instead of the one that just pulled off that last ditch TD? Morons. So stupid. I would have much rather lost on that failed 2 point conversion than the way it did end.

Secondly, what is going on with the penalties? This game sucked all around. There were flags on most plays. It was insane.

It took them 12 seconds and lot of luck to get that TD. They can't run the ball. They're also really bad inside the 5. Kicking the EP gave them the best chance to win. They couldn't take a TO to dial up a play since they were out of them. Going to overtime was the right call.

There are a few facts that are sobering but I struggle with how bad we are at running the ball (not including Maye). Stevenson had 10 attempts gaining 16 yards.....thats it. How did they get so bad ?...is it just everything......coaching , players , scheme etc. Where do you start rebuilding first.

If a team knows the run is coming they can stop it: pack the box. Just look at how many of the Patriots' runs came on first down -- and how little success they had, Maye apart.

"Where do you start rebuilding first?" With the offensive co-ordinator.
