Can KC go 19-0?

He was the favorite going into the season but I think Lamar and Allen are right there with him now. Chiefs are still winning though even if this isn't his best statistical season so far.
Mahomes is no longer the favorite. As you mention, Lamar and Allen are.

Going 16-0 isn't the Pats' greatest claim.
I'm talking about the big picture. If KC goes 20-0 that'll give them 3 SB wins in a row and 4 out of 6, with one of them being the all-time greatest season. They'd be catching up to the Pats very quickly.

Toughest games left are Buffalo, Houston, maybe vs Chargers? If they beat Buffalo, I will say they go undefeated. I actually think Detroit would be their stiffest test in a SB. Lions can score like crazy and Campbell doesn't strike me as a guy who gets intimidated easily. To beat KC, you gotta take chances. Detroit is that type of team.
As I said before, they aren't making out of the AFC. Buffalo might catch them, but Baltimore definitely is barring some massive injuries. KC is skating on thin ice and people don't realize how tenuous this is. Then Detroit would curb stomp them the SB.

Find me a loss on the schedule.
They could lose to Buffalo in Buffalo, Pitt in Pitt or at home vs Houston. After that they should all be easy wins.
20 - 0

They are beating the Lions in the Super Bowl.
Yeah, 20-0 was what I meant. I forgot that they're playing more games now.

Looks like Detroit finally has a football team..

It's definitely an accomplishment. They beat a whack of playoff teams that year. I guess it will always be a gut punching loss. But if they win, maybe Brady retires. And there is no Butler or 28-3.
Brady wasn't going to retire in 2008 if they went 19-0. He would have stuck around to do it again.

Brady mentioned he would not have had the same drive if they won that SB. It's in an interview somewhere.

Can you imagine if Carolina beat them in a few weeks? That would probably be the biggest upset (point spread wise) in NFL history. Not that I think it will happen.

Yeah one thing Tom Brady is known for is being happy with what he has and not pursuing more championships....

Is the nfl that bad where we’re seeing this run again right after it was done? 32 teams and we’re already penciling in wins and championships. Love football but baseball and hockey have it right. Those leagues have real parity. NFL needs a more balanced offense/defense paradigm to have parity. It’s become so out of whack.

why is this on the main board? Who gives a **** about KC?

Any given Sunday.

Chiefs are -7.5 point favorites right now last I checked.

The 2007 Pats were 23.5 point favorites in this game.

I know the dodgers spend and they won, but I never felt they were a slam dunk to win the World Series. Next year, the guardians or the Phillies could very well win it all. Baseball doesn’t even have a cap. NFL has a cap but one team is constantly in the Super Bowl. There’s something fundamentally wrong with the nfl.

The top 10 in revenue has won something like 13 of the last 14 World Series. That isn't parity.

Right now there is a dynasty in KC, but you need to ask yourself why the dynasty exists. Does it exist because they are an incredibly well run team with phenomenal talent, including at the most important position in all of sports? Or are they a dynasty because they generate more revenue than everyone else and consequently spend more on payroll than anyone else?

Parity absolutely sucks and is actually bad for the game. That is why baseball and hockey are suffering. Eventually, both the NFL and NBA will meet that fate as well if no other team emerges other than the Chiefs and Warriors years ago.

People hated the 90's Bulls, Pats for 20 years, late 90's-2010's Lakers and Spurs, and now the Chiefs, but dynasties were very good for the game.

You’re kind of proving my point. Top 10 spending teams have a shot at winning the championship in baseball. In the nfl people are already penciling in the chiefs as sb champs, in a cap era.

It’s a combination of things, to include inept coaching, poor fundamentals, very good but not great qb competition. You got owners who think they know football. The rules cater mostly to quarterbacks.

Joe Gibbs won with several different quarterbacks. Buccaneers won with Trent dilfer. Bears won with a great defense. There was a more balanced offense to defense game that allowed for different styles of teams to compete for a championship. Now everything is geared towards passing and one of the great offensive coaches of all time is going to the sb every year. NFL is more of a have and have nots at the qb position.

I disagree. You got bad teams in the nfl drawing good attendance. There’s only 17 games. NFL would be fine with true parity. People aren’t going to stop tuning in because a mid market team isn’t winning every year.

Yes it will happen.
The defense keeps them in every game
and Mahomes Kelce and Reid know how to win.

Only reason why it wouldn’t happen is injury to Mahomes.

Eliminate the Chiefs and let me know what else is a compelling storyline in the NFL.
