During hail marys I always thought there should be a receiver or 2 hanging out within 2 yards of the target to catch any ricochets. It was incredibly lucky, but Noah hanging out in the back may have been by design.

Plus it was a 65.9 air yards, which is the 2nd longest in the last 9 seasons from when NextGenStats started tracking it (Mayfield 66.4yds 2021).

And the fact he won the Super Bowl in February after a mediocre season and just flipped the switch and played much better in the post season.

The Chiefs are sleepwalking to 14 wins and a 1 seed, Mahomes play only becomes a story if he stinks it out in January until then if they're winning it doesn't matter.

If he throws 15 TDs and 20 picks but plays well in January and they win again he will get full credit and they will have the three-peat and GOAT talk will start, winning cures all.
