I agree with you SBB.. I think the criticism is warrantted and I can't defend how the defense looks right now.. so your right that too falls on coaching.. however you are a fair poster and I give u credit to also realize that as do. Some poster on here are just looking for the chance to **** on Mayo because they never wanted him to begin with. But I can always respect fair criticism!

Lol.. your good with me brother! Of course I appreciated Bill he's the GOAT. I too gave him fair criticism and credited him over the years. It's just everything is new right now and this team will be a totally different team come September 2025 than it is today. Coaches have all kinds if ways and methods they reach guys.. mayo has his, Tomlin, Carroll and others. As a fan.. the defense was soft and ass. It makes you question your toughness and commitment to being a professional NFL player. Even if you're checked out as a player what you put out on film affects your next opportunity on another team. I know they aren't talent rich on defense.. but they can at least play with pride and heart.

Wilson is a much better athlete, but great in zone coverage like Bryant. I always err on the side of athleticism.

I believe the secondary has also regressed this season. Due to the pass rush. They make plays here and there but no where on the level of last 2 seasons where we turned teams over. I want to see gonzo playing with more fire.. I see him gamble alot lately.. I wish gonzo had that dawg mentality.

My bad I have no facts other than the unmitigated disaster we've been seeing all season.

Maye is the only thing that can save them right now. I give AVP some credit for developing him which is why he's not on my list.

Mayo has left pretty much all control of offense to AVP so he doesn't get credit for it.

And I don't give Wolf any credit for drafting him he took the 3rd QB with the 3rd pick any idiot could have done that.

Ultimately they will all get credit for Maye when we know if he's successful. Right now all we know is he's ready to play now and for now that credit belongs to him and AVP.

And Kraft can go F himself for firing Bill to begin with.

I think Austin is taller (off the top of my head). Bryant is very very slow, and the players only get slower the older they get.

He did, I was pointing out the hypocrisy in play. My biggest fear is that this is another round of rebuild theatre that does not really go far enough. At this point any remnants from the dynasty are a distraction. When BB took over from Pete Scar was one of the few coaches who survived and the front office was brand new. If the current regime will stay in place they need to own the product on the field.

I think Bentley’s contributions are way undervalued/rated personally. They weren’t great this year when he was playing but they really took a dive once he was out. Unless I’m wrong but it seems that way. Leadership and communication goes a long way. What was that dude’s name people would play/do anything for we had for qb a few years ago that was great at it…damn memory can’t remember.
