“The players suck” is not the way to fix a team’s deficiencies.
They are going to turn on him.
Yeah, it may be 100% true, but there’s a reason why Belichick would never call anyone out in the media. There’s a good chance you’ll wind up being right here. Especially a coach that has no resume of coaching success to fall back on.

It’s like Mayo saw McDaniels, Mangini, etc. fail by trying to be BB, so he’s decided to do a total 180. That’s just as dumb.

And it should happen directly after this season. Get a Real GM and let that GM get a HC and coaching staff. But, I seriously doubt that RK will do that. He won't admit he made a mistake this soon, nor pay for the GM and coaching staff.
I think he's going to make things worse if he doesn't do anything soon and Maye will suffer.

No he wasn't , your vision is so coloured because Brady did not finish his career here and you want to blame Bill for everything. Please tell me how Mayo is better than Bill, I would love to hear that ????
Didn’t say he was but it was time for BB to go. He was absolutely terrible the last 2 seasons.

Yeah I would have taken Brady staying here over BB every time.

It absolutely won’t happen. RK isn’t going to admit he was wrong….yet. Only way this happens is if it’s worse than we know behind closed doors.

He'll hop on WEEI and hint how it's not his fault it's the roster Bill left.

He does plenty of talking during the week but none during the game, just stands there looking like he's clueless.
If he looks clueless, we at least have to give him props for honesty.

Should’ve gotten fields so Maye could have the year he needed to get ready.

Could’ve easily given him a few games towards the end of the season.

that was supposed to be Jacoby’s role.

This is what I thought about Polk last year:

BEFORE THE DRAFT:

My bust picks:

We just don’t draft wide receivers well. We should be signing proven receivers not drafting them. And I’m not talking about signing just good receivers. I’m talking about going after the very best.

I’m fully aware but I said the same at the time, we should’ve gone for fields instead.

Just reiterating it now and will do every week since Brissett is ****.

The thing that mostly concerned me about the coaching is that we went to small ball, runs, screens, WR screens, TE screens, when we were hurting the Jags downfield.

How did we hurt them? Who cares... they are the weakest DBs in the entire NFL. And we decided to not pick on them for half the game.

Maye was more than capable of taking advantage of them.

What was AVP thinking? He refused to attack the weakest DBs in the league. When we attacked them, we only had success.

It seems like that because we had a crybaby lousy QB that was forced on Bill. He had no choice but to start him which lost us a boatload of games. So it's easy to blame Bill, but even he can't make some so incompetent play decently . Letting Bill go will haunt us for a long time unless someone decides the entire coaching staff needs to go and they invest the time on a proper rebuild. Otherwise we are spinning our wheels and this will be the same story for years to come .

After the first two possessions, the only thing that made me smile was when the television production team cut back to the NFLN studio, with Coleen Wolfe in a skimpy black spaghetti-strap outfit.

It was a helluva lot more enjoyable to look at her, rather than the abomination on the field at Wembley.

Agree. The game-planning and in-game coaching seems to have regressed along with the players as the season’s gone on. Not feeling confident in the group at all. One thing I will say is that Maye looks vastly improved from his first preseason game. That aspect of the coaching has gone well - whoever is responsible for that should get kudos.

Agree that they will turn on him. I do not have a problem with him calling out players but it absolutely needs to be followed by we as coaches also need to be better.
