Not in this convoluted AFC KC - Houston - Baltimore and Buffalo. The Jets still have time remember Seven Teams make it now.

If a rookie QB plays for them next season, he has Wilson & Adams to throw to. Having a legit #1 WR is key for a rookie. The Patriots need to do the same for Maye. The receivers they have are not good enough imo.

Three teams that are guaranteed to win their division imo: KC, Baltimore, Texans, and Jets/Bills. That leaves three spots open for the wild card. Likely to be Pittsburgh, Chargers, and another team. Assuming Jets don't win the division, they can still beat out the Colts and whoever else. So, they can still easily make the postseason. Winning a SB is an entirely different story.

People will mention Cincinnati. Imo they dug themselves too big of a hole. They don't have a good enough defense.

A conditional 3rd that can become a 2nd is not a bad trade at all, if it saves their season.

They're fixing the wrong problem....

Their answer to every problem is "do what Ahole wants us to do".

At best this means Ahole ends up with nice stats and gets to blame everyone else for their ****ty season.

I don't know, when I'm doing stupid stuff, doubling down on it doesn't work out well for me.

What do we think the upside looks like?

To me the best case scenario looks like Ahole, Adams and Lizard trying to make a passing game work behind a bad OL, while Wilson gets frozen out.

Jete have a good backfield but the Bills just exposed their bad run defense, and firing Saleh didn't give them a boost.

Maybe they get good enough to make it to the first round of the playoffs, but they just lost to the most likely division champs so they'll have to go the wild card route.

If Adams gets good numbers it works out well for him as he'll be cut in the off-season and become a FA, but means the Jete have to give up more draft capital.

If Adams doesn't do well on the field he's pretty vocal about it, so it could drag the whole team down.

The Jets have to win this year. Odds are Rodgers is gone after this season. He is already showing clear signs of age and will likely retire.

They won't be high enough to draft a QB. There are no great options in free agency.
