Center 2025

J Andrews was drafted to backup Center. He is injured.

Last year for Jake the Latest Fake Andrews, that’s for dam sure.

And sucks too.

Thanks again Billy (& Al Groh’s kid), you ****ing idiot.
You are the same guy that told us Onwenu is a fat **** and ****ing sucks. How can we believe you?

Yes. And he was wrong about Joe Thuney and his T rex arms. Only two misses I can recall in 15 years or so.

No one is perfect. I thought Denzel Mims, the Baylor WR whom the Jets drafted, was going to be a star.

Just go back to his redrafts. He’s right—often painfully so—far more often than not.

He Was overweight and because of it Didn’t particularly impress at Michigan and might’ve still been available a bit later in the draft… If Bill wanted an OLman at that spot I wrote at the time that I would’ve taken Jon Runyan Jr there… Still might actually, even though Onwenu’s now our best lineman, which says more about how suck-ass the rest of our offensive Line is in general than about him in particular.

And is that de-legitimized homer who liked your post still alive? So glad he’s still on my Ignore list then.

I don't have anyone on ignore and don't follow emojis.

Apparently he got tired of me repeating his own words back to him like you just did. I don’t think it’s offensive to believe that the loudest, angriest people should occasionally be reminded of where that has gotten them in the past.

(Stephon “obscene waste of money” Gilmore is my favorite.)

I think the Captain adds a lot of value, just like Andy, but they are wrong a lot as well. I did not get tired of anything. Some posters are angry, and some are overly positive, and in either case you have to look for the gems inside the posts.

That is the same as my posts, look for the gems and ignore most of what I type

Well, I've got my first binkie of the season. Jack Conley, Boston College. BC's interior O-line just steamrolled Florida State's D-line all night.
That's Florida States second defeat in 2 games , they were being talked about pre-season as a team that could do well ....not the start that FS were expecting ?

How’d he do against Missouri?
Missouri put three DTs across from BC's offensive guards and the center. It was an effective strategy. Most of Missouri's QB pressure came from the ends, not up the middle, so I would say he did OK. But there was not a lot of push in the middle to create room for the RB. Hard to know exactly while only watching the game live as one or both of the guards could have been the issue. Hard to know for sure without looking at the film.

With three defensive guys in the middle and two ends, Missouri was essentially blitzing every play (5 DL not 4). BC was not able to capitalize.

Not only is a Day 1 Starting Stud LT needed next off-season, but the same holds true for Center (even if Andrews can and/or will play in 2025).

And anyone with a brain knew this but the Pats decided it was ok to roll with Andrews who hasn’t been the epitome of good health in recent years.

There were 5 or 6 hopefuls drafted and Pats didn’t take a flyer on one. Bortolini just made his first start yesterday for the Colts but I’m glad they got 10 guards on the roster. We’re set.

Heck, there were 5/6 Centers drafted after Jake the Latest Fake last year that I would’ve taken ahead of him, not to mention any number of UFAs this past offseason I would’ve signed ahead of Leverett Saltonstall, who just plain sucks.
