Post your predictions here for Week 4, New England Patriots at San Francisco 49ers

This contest is open to everyone, it's both a weekly and a season-long contest. Stakes are bragging rights.

*********** PLEASE NOTE THE SLIGHT CHANGE FOR THIS SEASON *********

******** Above the reply box is now an area to make your score prediction: ************

Here's an example of what it looks like:

You just slide the red markers and select your score, and then post your reply with your prediction and any additional comments in this thread so we can keep it the same way it always has been, with the exception of having you pick your score. This allows either me or @alamo to update the results much faster, ie: I've been posting the results within a day or two after the game

You will also want to drop a comment with your prediction as well for the sake of keeping the spirit of this contest intact as that's how @alamo has always done it. The scrollbars are just to make it easier for it to be tallied.

Getting back to the rules, as a one-time allowance for computer problems, forgetfulness, or whatever, one week can be missed and will be assigned that week's average score.

SCORING:

Your score is the COMBINED deviation of your predicted score for the Pats and opponents REGARDLESS OF DIRECTION.
For example, if you predict Patriots 31 49ers 23 your score is how many points off of 31 the Pats are (over or under does not matter) PLUS how many points off of 23 the 49ers are (over or under again does not matter). Game winner does not matter. Lowest score wins.

You may change your prediction at any time before kickoff, which the window will close at that time and your selection will stand. Please keep this thread to predictions only (after you make the pick), no back-and-forth discussion of the game. A short comment explaining your pick is OK and encouraged after you've made your selection.

Good Luck!

Patriots: 17
49ers: 16

Patriots happen to catch the 49ers at the right time and hopefully look more like the team we saw during the first two weeks.

SF 26
NWE 13

Pats win, 16-14

Pats - 24
Multiples of 49 - 3

What a terrible method I've adopted for this year.

I'm being silly, but I can see with the injuries to the 49ers I believe we have a chance so I will take Pats the score
Pats 19
49ers 17

I originally had this the other way but possibly without Purdy or their starting DE we have a shot.

With the injuries to the 49ers the Pats have a shot at a huge upset. I can't go there yet until we show a semblance of a passing game.

49ers 23
Pats 13

24-13 bad guys.

Pats 24
Niners 23

I think they are gonna get smoked, but the injury report makes me think this could be a trap game for the 9ers. I may revisit this at the end of the week.

34-13 San Fran. Pats gotta prove they can do more than run the ball.

16-14 Patriots over Gold Rush

Forty-whiners 27, Pooptriots 6

SF 20
Pats 13

30-13 SF

We don't stand a chance. I wish we did, but we don't.

49ers 30

Patriots 13

42-3 Niners....

If the Jets could hold us to 3 points...the Niners can do the same. And if we continue to miss tackles on defense...we will be in for a long day....guessing the time of possession will likely be 48-12 minutes in the Niners favor.
