Polk instead Kingsley Suamataia?

Didn't Suamataia just get benched? Wallace should be a RT for us. If he can just prove to be the answer there, that would go a long way to rebuilding the OL.

Polk might be good, he might not be. But we’re still playing with the super conservative garbage offense of the past couple years.

We’ll see how this season goes, I had Patrick Paul graded higher.

The complete unknown of both was better than entering this season with no options which is what the Pat’s did.

I’d also add I wanted some much better free agent OT’s who were available so they didn’t have to start the rookie unless he earned it.

We got Okorafor and Lowe instead… dumb.

Technically, it was Bill who traded for Low at the start of last season, not the current FO (though Wolfie & Al Groh’s kid might very well have agreed with him on it).

Perhaps this will dissuade @FredFromDartmouth from posting these dumb-ass, premature threads going forward. Probably not.

Yeah that would be great but you're right, probably not.

F*ck me.. first I have to travel on a Sunday losing time with famimy and now I am in a keep delaying it every 15 minutes game with delta...

Maybe the chiefs will lose tonight to make up for this ****ty day

Might even have recommended Lowe. Wolf was singing Lowe's praises at his press conference which made think at the time that Wolf scouted Lowe and wanted to pump his own talent.

Be interesting to watch Kinglsey tonight.

Agreed with Bill? Bill agreed with Wolf because Bob asked him to collaborate.

Elliot got up on the podium in preseason and waxed poetic about Lowe’s incredibly wide wingspan… he was clearly Wolf’s guy. This is why he was penciled in as a starter before camp even began. Wolf has a fascination with wide arms, which is fine as long as they’re strong and attached to a good/great athlete. He gets in trouble when they’re poor athletes like Lowe and Okorafor.

Bill fell on the sword for a lot of the bad decisions the collaboration made.

It’s not hindsight for those of us pounding the table to take a tackle in round two on draft day.
WHO? After 2 games here are the 2nd round picks. You don't a tackle for the sake of drafting a tackle. If we drafted a tackle where would we be. worse off right now apparently if we played them.

#55 Patrick Paul (0 snaps)- Not Starting
#59 Blake Fisher (RT - 0 snaps)-Not starting
#62 Roger Rosengarten (RT - 38 snaps - 52.4 PFF grade)-Not Starting
#63 Kingsley Suamataia (108 snaps - 42.8 PFF grade - Benched)-Not Starting
#67 Brandon Coleman (36 snaps - 47.8 PFF grade)-Not starting

Vederian Lowe at LT in '24: 117 snaps - 53.5 PFF grade.

I also saw a list of the potential free agents on Twitter and how they have fared, Tyron Smith, who had no interest in coming here is the ONLY guy that was a free agent that has outplayed Lowe.

Any free agent and any 2nd round pick signed have been worse then Lowe. SO far best option based on what they've done this season would be to have Lowe signed and starting.

SO… We sign & start VD, and that’s it? We don’t even bother trying to draft/sign anyone else, we just hand the LT job to him and that’s it?!? **** that ****.

BTW, I saw Brandon Coleman on the field throughout the game… at LG… Don’t know if he started there, as I didn’t catch the first 10 minutes of it…

Wow that's a lot of bad.

You could still argue playing and getting experience for one of those prospects over Lowe would be better in the long run but that certainly explains a lot not just for us but across the league almost everyone's OL seems to suck more than usual.

Polk has 30 yards receiving through 3 games… is he struggling?

I already posted numerous times I would have drafted Patrick Paul or Sumiata (in that order) with the second and signed three better free agents than Wolf signed on OL. A vet could have provided cushion for the rookie OT to grow.

Paul not playing with pro Bowl caliber tackle in front of him is not a negative. Sumiata struggling a little doesn’t make him a bust… anymore than Polk catching 30 yards to date.

Not saying they are busts, saying they would not make a difference this year to the line.
What other free agents? I saw a recent list of how the tackle free agents are doing from this off season, they are not doing well.
