JB is what he is. And on 3rd down in FG range he took a sack. That put our rookie kicker in a bad spot. Which inevitably, the attempt was blocked. Those 3 points were the game winning points! When JB took the sack, I was mumbling out loud, that this is exactly what we saw from Mac Jones. So, if we're going to lose with JB, I'd rather lose with Maye, he can learn through defeats as well as victory.

1) He took a sack, because AVP, who had been ultra-conservative the whole game, decided to call some ****amamie ******** on 3rd and 1, and he was INSTANTLY pressured (shocking, considering how bad the pass blocking is). He didn't have time to get it off.

This loss goes on Jerod Mayo and Alex Van Pelt (4th and a foot from your 39 in overtime and you punt).

Maye is clearly not ready to play. Definitely concerning for the #3 overall pick, but it is what it is. If he were ready, I'd imagine Mayo would have him out there. It's only a matter of time before Jonathan Kraft starts crying about it anyway. Then we see how the kid can handle being instantly pressured on almost every pass play.
