Everyone want the stud, franchise LT and I'm sure they do too. However, I don't think they want to be pigeon-holed into having to take that spot next year. It's early in the process, but it appears that some of the CB and EDGE prospects might be better. The OT position also doesn't seem that deep so if they trade down for a #haul they might be out of range. I think they're hoping that Lowe or Wallace could grow enough this year to where they're passable at LT so they don't 100% need to lock into that spot next year in the draft. If that does happen, particularly if it's Wallace at LT, that might mean Onwenu at RT and then Robinson can start at RG.
I also don't think they expect to keep Onwenu in year 3 of his deal. It's way too much money for a sub-all pro level guard or "meh" RT. If they have to keep him then so be it, but I think they'll be disappointed if they haven't improved the OL enough to where they can move on from him then. I think Robinson at RG could be a key part of that replacement strategy.
