That would be my plan as well, Force geno to beat you. Offensively though it could be a long day unless lowe improves a bit. Maybe hes closer to 100% now? Im interested to see how the right side will look. Is the plan to start layden again and onwenu at rt? Well seen as how chuks got benched for Robinson I'd think Robinson would start? I think he's good great playing strength. As u perfectly said if the tackles continue to give up pressure then we can never get to our deep stuff. We know Tyquan will be open. That's why I keep saying polk should be starting his skill set is better when Jacoby has to get the ball out quickly.. I can see more screens this game as well if AVP wants to spread them out. But on defense as we agreed make gino have to go to his 3rd and 4th read. Hopefully we can pick some off.

You are right, I forgot about that. I should have said - At least Brissett does not seem as prone to panicking and handing the ball to the other team.

Will Polk be in situations where he's covered by a top CB? Do we think defenses will start covering him like that?

Right now it's pop. But if I get my wish of polk starting I think he will make enough plays to command the teams top CB.

Brissett missed multiple receivers open downfield. He is just too afraid and too conservative. That’s why he doesn’t make many mistakes but also why he doesn’t make any plays. And that’s also why he is a backup QB.

Yup, he's definitely a backup, but as long as he can hand off and/or run he'll be fine. He's a tough SOB too.

I’ll say it again. Their offensive potency is capped by Brissett. 26 yds on 5 play action passes. Receiver were open but Brissett was afraid of throwing into NFL windows because he doesn’t have the accuracy downfield.

Path to victory for any team against us is force Brissett to throw and you are in a pretty good shape.

Unfortunately don’t see this changing until /if maye is ready. Love brissett but i feel like Sunday is as good as it gets with him, at least in THIS offense. In Cleveland he had a better line and amari cooper. Here he has a better defense so it does afford him to play the way he is suited but the offense probably won’t get anymore dynamic under him barring a major boost from the screen game or trick plays. Hope to be proven wrong.

Agree. Said this over the summer if Brissett plays well this season I could see him getting a pay day from someone. The giant's are going to move on from Jones.. they probably want a veteran bridge... he could see a nice pay day say he has 4,000 yards, 24 tds and 8 ints..

As long as his managing the game.. not commitng TOs he will Continue to start for the Duration of the season win or lose. As much as want Drake to play this is what the plan is.

After 3-4 good games, or 3-4 bad games, I think that it will be time to start Maye.

That depends upon how good his grasp of the offense, and the play of the OL. If they can keep playing like last week then I would expect to see him sooner than we expected.

I don't see him getting 24 TDs. He got 18, I think, when he was starting for the Colts. He's about as good as you can hope for in a backup. Someone will pay him well to do that. Hell, it might be us.

True. I was just using that as a marker. 18 would still be good with say 5,6 INTS. I think Drake will be the starter this season Mayo's even said he could have started if needed this season. This is as I've said an important season for many reasons. If we have a season say 7-10 or 8-9 that will do far better than the top 5 pick again.

The Pats game plan seems to be run the ball, throw as little as possible, expect the defense to keep the score low. That's only going to work so long with Brissett. Especially if we go down a couple scores early in a game.

I think after a few losses, we'll see Maye in there this season.
