This may’ve been a trap game for them too. Everybody in the leagues knows the Patriots are Patsies. Except, no longer. However, I do think the Bengals were half-asleep this game. Higgins missed the game, Chase was on a contract dispute and barely practicing, plus they didnt really gave a crap about the pre-season
Agreed. Seemed like the theory was just ease into week 1 and control the game. This game was an old school patriots win. Great defense, strong running game and great COACHING!!Scary part is that I believe the offense can be way better with Maye.
Maye is not ready. Everything I saw in the preseason suggests that he needs time in the oven. The eye is there, the instincts are there, but he's tentative on his throws and doing a lot of soft tossing. Brissett isn't terribly accurate but at least he can step into his throws, Maye in the preseason really didn't show that.Scary part is that I believe the offense can be way better with Maye.
The team was prepared and disciplined.Maybe Mayos not the idiot some thought
There are some (I won't name names but it's a word followed by a number) who have clearly been rooting for Mayo to fail but think they're safe because they haven't outright said itWhat? I'm a huge Belichick fan. I'm ecstatic.
Unlike some here, I've NEVER rooted against the Patriots, even last year when it came to draft position.
And the Dolphins barely win with a long field goal... geez. Can't catch a break!Cardinals OC absolutely peed down his leg vs the Bills late plus refs ignored two blatant PI calls because…gotta have Allen in the playoffs
Well said. Many of us felt that final two years was a train wreck where the team had no chance before kickoff even happened…but I I feel like today proved it.Finally the Patriots look like a professional football team again. Its been about three years.
It's alright let it out. I was only better with my prediction because I had therapy.I'm a bit ashamed about my prediction now. I'm blaming emotional damage sustained watching us last season.
FairI'm just happy 0-17 is off the table. They're playing with house money!
BB fanboyz in shambles right now
Didn't Thornton look much improved??Nothing exciting about the offense but that may have been the most professional, mistake free game I’ve seen from them in years
You saw Carolina right ?the giants secure this
