Yes this will be a wake-up call for Cincy. This may’ve been a trap game for them too. Everybody in the leagues knows the Patriots are Patsies. Except, no longer.

Agreed. Seemed like the theory was just ease into week 1 and control the game. This game was an old school patriots win. Great defense, strong running game and great COACHING!!

Scary part is that I believe the offense can be way better with Maye.

Maye is not ready. Everything I saw in the preseason suggests that he needs time in the oven. The eye is there, the instincts are there, but he's tentative on his throws and doing a lot of soft tossing. Brissett isn't terribly accurate but at least he can step into his throws, Maye in the preseason really didn't show that.

Unlike some here, I've NEVER rooted against the Patriots, even last year when it came to draft position.

There are some (I won't name names but it's a word followed by a number) who have clearly been rooting for Mayo to fail but think they're safe because they haven't outright said it

And the Dolphins barely win with a long field goal... geez. Can't catch a break!

That said, if the Bills and Dolphins can barely handle the Cardinals/Jaguars while they're both playing at home... that bodes well

Well said. Many of us felt that final two years was a train wreck where the team had no chance before kickoff even happened…but I I feel like today proved it.

Totally different energy.
