I don’t think the state taxes are a factor to the players, but let us not peddle falsehoods (or, at the very least, misleadinghoods).

In order to claim MA is not in the top 10, one has to disregard the millionaire’s surtax. For most players, they don’t qualify to pay that - but your high value players getting 9 figure deals clearly do.

That surtax, when it applies, puts MA well in the top 10 of state taxes, and the Patriots in the top quarter of the League.

For the record, I wasn't responding to a criticism of Bill. My response was in the context of the thread title suggesting that people with agendas have been ruining a number of threads by repeating the same tired narratives. BB and Brady are gone. It sucks, time to see how this version of the team works out.

I must have missed something, as I often do (sometimes it's 'cause I'm gettin' old but more often it's cause I just dgaf), but when did our man @Stu Pidassle lose his right to be as shamelessly hypocritical as everyone else on an internet forum? LOL, that is exactly right. I think I sent the reply while cooling my heels outside some shop while my wife and daughters looked at stuff for the sake of looking at stuff. There was no malice intended.
