Good ol' Tom Jackson. Tom tried, but never was, able to get anything but an FU from coach Belichick again. Was that the whole "They hate their coach" game? I feel like it was.ut

Not sure what said posters were reading...Posters were saying he was representing himself.
There was a sizable gap between Judon's expectations and where the Patriots were willing to go financially, per league sources. The top-12 edge rushers in the NFL are on contracts scheduled to pay them over $20 million per year, including Myles Garrett ($25 million per year), Montez Sweat ($24.5 million) and Danielle Hunter ($24.5 million) -- all of whom are represented by Klutch Sports, which also represents Judon.
Klutch also represents Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore, who reached a lucrative contract extension with the team this offseason.
Klutch botched this trade and the Falcons can rescind it if Judon doesn’t cooperate.
Yes and the question of whether keeping Tom over Bledsoe was also asked. Was that the whole "They hate their coach" game? I feel like it was.
If he doesn’t show up to do a physical, Falcons can send him back. Judon had a cryptic post about failing the physical. Not sure what said posters were reading...
Perry: A 'prudent' move? Inside Patriots' decision to trade Judon
What led the Patriots to trade their best defensive player? Phil Perry shares his intel on how Matthew Judon ended up in Atlanta.www.nbcsportsboston.com
The only way the trade can be rescinded is if he flunks the medical.
Little did we know that those were the best of times.Yes and the question of whether keeping Tom over Bledsoe was also asked.
Depends on where they are in the process. If he doesn’t show up, Falcons can send him back.
Early years were my favorite. I didn’t care for the 2nd Dynasty much in comparison to the 1st - better players, coaches, better competition, rule changes were in infancy and better overall product of the NFL.Little did we know that those were the best of times.
What I’ve heard is ATL doesn’t have any plans extended him which is why he had that post on X.Depends on where they are in the process.
If the deal is contingent on medical clearance and he flunks/doesn't show up then he goes back to NE or they renegotiate terms
If he goes to ATL, passes the medical and all the legal/ppwk is clean and filed with the league and THEN he changes his mind and doesn't show up to practice he is officially ATLs problem.
Agreed. Much lower expectations also made the first part of the dynasty much more enjoyable. That sentiment was reflected by the fans, ownership and players. Still great, just not as amazing.Early years were my favorite. Yep. Let's see if Judon/Klutch play hardball and decide not to show up for the physical. What I’ve heard is ATL doesn’t have any plans extended him which is why he had that post on X.
The Atlanta newspaper article read said that Judon agreed to play under his existing contract as a prerequisite for the trade.Yep. Let's see if Judon/Klutch play hardball and decide not to show up for the physical.

Exactly.Looks like Matthew is getting stonewalled on this play, not that he hasn't' contributed mightily toward his dilemma. He has been his own worst
advocate.
Agree. I don't see a path back here on any level.Hope Judon does the physical. I want that pick.
He held out a day and a half, calm down.Exactly.
I have no problem with players and specifically Judon playing hardball and trying to renegotiate their deals. NFL teams break contracts all the time and because a player's career is so short, they need to maximize their earning potential.
What I DO have a problem with is when players behave immaturely and not take accountability for their actions during said negotiations. Sitting on upside down trash cans in public display. Acting out. Claiming, "It's not up to me". "I don't run my social media". "I'm not the bad guy". His contract demand started this whole situation (which is again, fine) . Did he expect the team to cave like last year? I think so and got frustrated like a little kid who didn't get ice cream after desert because they didn't finish their veggies. If he had just kept this situation private and treated it like a business then maybe this situation might not have reached this point and he needed to be traded.
Thanks for the advice. He held out a day and a half, calm down.
I would be very surprised if Judon doesn't show up to his physical. Coming back to the Patriots is a waste of time. They obviously don't want him long term and have no interest in meeting his contract demands. At this point I think it would be smart for him to play under his current contract (If the falcons aren't looking to give him a new contract) and hopefully have a great year. Maybe the Falcons then offer him a contract or he can test the open market.Yep. Let's see if Judon/Klutch play hardball and decide not to show up for the physical.
