Keep the starting 5 and keep the rookies other than that I'd sign 2-3 OL on cut down. Absolutely need a backup center. And those 2-3 can compete to start over the 5 we have now.

I can't believe our bad OL from last year is worse. What an absolute fail by the collaboration committee.

Much more entertaining than the Panthers game. Brissett’s accuracy and decision making have been questionable. Maye was okay. Some accuracy issues. Some hospital balls that Im sure he would like to have back. Milton Magic was non-existent. OL was okay. Not great. Some ****ty snaps, blown assignments…Lowe sucks. The receivers made some plays. Baker is so damn close to having a big play but can never seem to close the deal. Nice to know our starters can compete with most of the Eagles backups. If they played all of their starters though, I’m sure the result would’ve been much different. Play calling seemed like an NFL offense out there. Nice.

Leverett has been fine as the primary backup center. Thought he did ok today. That botched snap was on Maye.

I just read this take on the running game from MassLive:

"5. Running game struggles: New England trotted out the same starting offensive line — left to right: Lowe, Sidy Sow, Andrews, Mike Onwenu and Chuks Okorafor — and that group couldn’t generate much offense on the ground. Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson, the top two backs on the depth chart, combined for 26 yards on 10 carries. Jerod Mayo might want the Patriots to be a running team, but saying that and executing the vision are two different things."

I watched the interior of the line, and I can't blame Sow for any of this. When I watched him, he was really handling his assignment well. Onwenu is Onwenu. So why be concerned? Clearly, this is a matter of coaching and the new zone blocking scheme that requires our tackles to run block better.

In other words, it's not time to worry about our running game yet. We're changing things and it will take time. I have no concerns with the run blocking of the interior OL, and if Strange ever got back it would be even better since that's one of the things he does really well.

He's getting put in a tough spot being asked to be the back up center after Jake got hurt. Ok keep him too but still need a couple off the cutdown waivers.

Philly didn’t play neither of their star DTs.
I would be over the moon if they did that against all the Philly starters. That front is one of the best in the NFL. Still, expectations were low after the joint practice, and they exceeded them in my opinion.

Just catching up now. That Maye ball that Baker dropped in the 3rd was so on the money. Also he had one beforehand that was super snug and not an easy throw. Cringed a little on some of his runs but like that he can bring that when needed.

How about Wallis? Why not keep him?

Defense looks feisty throughout a lot of the depth, might be a good recipe if lacking elite talent if the cohesiveness is better than the sum of parts.

So glad fuking Cam Achord is gone as special teams coordinator, feel pretty good about Springer replacing him.

Offense being a work in progress should lose them a few games they shouldn’t, while defense being solid should win them a few games they shouldn’t—things most assumed.

Just 88 yards passing for an entire game even in preseason is absolutely awful. I'm sure they didn't call their best stuff but wow.

I couldn’t care less about the end result. Biggest positive from the game is the first and second OL looked competent.
GUARD AND CENTER
Solid except possibly at backup center.

TACKLE
Lowe is playing better each week and has a long way to go and is our best playing OT at the moment. I suspect that Wallace still is hurting from a minor injury. Okorafor doesn't look good at all. Anderson is 3rd string.

I hope David Wallis shows enough next week to force them to keep him. He's not quite there yet, but I'd much rather have him out there on PR/KR duties than a starter on offense or defense.

Has Milton shown enough to actually be active on most game days? The "emergency" QB3 slot does not allow him to come in unless QB1 and QB2 are unavailable.
