Don't wanna 2nd guess Mayo- but when the hell do we see him with the starting offense? Can't really evaluate Maye with the 2nd string. He's only 21and hasn't played a lot of football, so of course he has a lot to work on. But Brissett has been putrid. Maye may need to start sooner than a lot of us had hoped.
So you gotta have some basis for evaluation vs. Brissett- run him with the 1's a couple times

I agree with @Ross12 , would love to see him with the top targets. Glad we at least got to see him with Polk, but I'm with you, it would be nice to see him with the full group.

Maye looks just fine, which is all I care about. I just think the more time he gets in an actual game (if you're willing to call pre-season stuff a "game") the better. That he's in there in more important than what happens when he is, especially given that if a play goes bad, there's a pretty good chance it won't be his fault anyway.

Of course but it's not a big deal like you were trying to make it. This kid has bigtime talent. You should be excited.

If Brissett is going to play like this he's not going to last beyond the first month of the season, this is unplayable quarterbacking with the 3rd overall pick on the bench.
Fans have had their fill of unwatchable offense the only reason for Brissett is to make the offense competent and watchable until Maye is ready and if it's not that at a minimum what's the point.
