Hopefully we'll find out soon enough whether that can be cleaned up, although with this OL, don't want him to develop bad habits, accentuating the yips and have him to turn into Knoblauch.Drake Maye is so interesting. His accuracy has actually been extremely impressive in camp - very intentional with his throws both short and long. Dropping dimes right in the bucket deep, throwing behind or below guys intentionally to protect them, using touch and velocity as/when needed. A true case of Belichick's famous phrase "he can make all the throws".
Yet he also shows that downside from his college tape where 10% of the time he just throws a ball to no-man's-land randomly or his accuracy is extremely poor. This was super magnified during the lead-up to the draft and hurt his stock a bit. It's still there, but considering how good his accuracy and throwing ability has looked the other 90% of the time, does it matter all that much? And none of that is even touching on his rushing talent and athleticism to move in the pocket/extend the play, which has rarely been used in camp...
Lol based on a bad throw from the QB in training camp?Could Osborn be the odd man out?
I am hoping to some extent this is just a byproduct of Jake Andrews being gone and theyre figuring out who will backup David Andrews but either way Mafi hasn't looked good wherever he's been.
I don't understand why they don't give up on this and move him back to guard...obviously having a bad enough time that his status for the roster only goes down that much further.
