Drake Maye is so interesting. His accuracy has actually been extremely impressive in camp - very intentional with his throws both short and long. Dropping dimes right in the bucket deep, throwing behind or below guys intentionally to protect them, using touch and velocity as/when needed. A true case of Belichick's famous phrase "he can make all the throws".
Yet he also shows that downside from his college tape where 10% of the time he just throws a ball to no-man's-land randomly or his accuracy is extremely poor. This was super magnified during the lead-up to the draft and hurt his stock a bit. It's still there, but considering how good his accuracy and throwing ability has looked the other 90% of the time, does it matter all that much? And none of that is even touching on his rushing talent and athleticism to move in the pocket/extend the play, which has rarely been used in camp...
