PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP Monday Patriots Training Camp Thread 8/12

Mixed on this. 2 out of 7 isn't great, but they're also facing a pretty good defense, so maybe it's not so bad? They don't face many tough defenses this year and in fact play a lot of poor ones. The tough matchups that they do face are pretty much all in the first 8 weeks (49ers, Jets rounds 1 and 2, and Texans). After those games, all the remaining defenses are slightly above average at best and terrible at worst. So the back half of the year may be where they start getting their groove, especially as they get more comfortable in the offense and possibly switch from Brissett to Drake Maye. Their second Dolphins matchup and both Bills matchups are also later in the year, so there's room to make noise in the divisional standings if their competition are not meeting expectations either.

The duality of man. One person's "tidy" practice is another person's "sloppy" practice apparently. Seen a lot of divergent reports like this.

Sometimes it feels to me like any practice that isn't 100% perfect gets labeled "sloppy". Like a couple of procedural errors out of 100 plays somehow means the whole thing was chaos. I wonder if having reporters at these camp practices is actually good for anyone (including the fans).
