They're the same PUP though. It's just extending your time on the list.

Once training camp begins, and you practice once, you are ineligible for reserve (or any) PUB.
Wait, wait, wait, what? If you practice once you can't go to a pub? You mean anywhere? Or the Pub on Patsfans?

On Gibson:

Here's the info on NFI:

“The Non-Football Injury or Illness list (NFI) is similar to the PUP list, but it is used for players who suffered injuries or ailments outside of NFL activities. Players who begin the season on NFI (as of cutdowns to 53-man rosters) can be activated after the team has played its first four regular season games.”

These guys are cleaning up injuries suffered last season or rehabbing, most will be back soon.

Strange and possibly Bourne will be held out longer, if they’re smart they’ll let Bourne get really strong before they bring him back.

He’s locked up for three years on a team friendly deal and they have a lot of young guys who need an opportunity. Use the PUP to create a roster spot, bring him back at full strength in week 5.
Agreed Wozzy.. the guy I'm curious about is my guy Gibson. NFI... I remember Calvin Anderson was put on NFI. It's odd beucase a few weeks ago Gibson said he was ready to go. With KB out the guy there has to most to prove is Thornton.

Real you really love Gibby.
My man PF2. I really love his game.. he's a welcome breath if fresh air for this offense.. sweet feet was raving about him too.. he's going to make the QBs life so much easier and take burden off rham..

Agreed, we seem to have one every year.

Calvin Anderson, DT Henry Anderson, FB Danny Vitale… there always seems to be a guy we think will contribute only to start the year with a mystery ailment that ends them before they start.

Cross your fingers on Gibson, if he’s not available the RB depth plummets…

Great he looks solid I hope he cleans those fumbles up especially in the passing game. Gibby can definitely catch the football.

Kevin Harris needs to be better this year barely over 100yds in Two years.

Gibson & Summer Covid have a certain 10 day ring to it.

Yeah, it’s tricky.

You can still go to a bar or tavern, just not a pub, so confirm which they are before you enter.

Yeah that's the one area he can improve on other than that I was sold on him after to what he did to our defense...

@mgteich may be right on the RB concerns if Gibby can't go for some reason. He's going to be an important part of the offense especially on 3rd down so I really hope he's ok.

I see why we signed him now can't beat him sign him.

Yes gibby, wich is a suprise because a few weeks ago during his media interview he said he was ready to go. I hope he will be ok... he will be a big part of what we do offensively..
Maybe he said that he was ready to go in order to stave-off being placed on NFI... There could be negative financial ramifications for him otherwise...

When he’s not fumbling he’s a stud.

And the last two seasons he hasn't even been that, fumbles or no fumbles...

I really wish this FO had signed a couple of more cheap vets, both a bigger back and a shiftier one... The Other Harris & Hasty Puddin' don't exactly give me the warm & fuzzies.

Cheap vets at RB should be available during camp and after the cut to 53.

The last two years he’s been a role player because of the fumbles. He couldn’t be trusted as an every-down back because he put it on the ground.

He accumulated 1331 total scrimmage yards and 10 TD’s in 14 starts three years ago. Fumbles is his only downside.
