AVP; could be great for this team.

Gilly got a bump money taken from that year into the next. He was gone soon after... Vince almost walked out the door if not for RK getting involved. Yeah.. no arguments on JC, Samuel. To me those guys were fake #1s.. when here. They never shut anyone down.. they got a bunch of INTs wich is great for getting paid! Jones was phenomenal when he went to Arizona... guy was a 15 sack guy each year... big Sey had to fight with his contract as well.. Bill was being paid to coach, and be GM.. so alot of bills work was also so he could retain, and justify his own salary.
I never said BB wasn't a tough negotiator.

He paid his best players until he couldn't. The NFL has a hard cap, this isn't baseball.

Look I will always appreciate bill.. he's the greatest to ever do it.. but I enjoy talking about the things that don't get talked about.. all the greats had flaws.. Lombardi it's said that if he could get away with not paying his players to play if he would've. Landry is another one.. anyways that was before my time..

Bill drafted Jones. It was 100% his decision, nobody else's.
The collaboration drafted Mac Jones.

Whether Bill wanted him or wanted to go another direction is unknown, but ultimately he agreed with the collaboration.

I'm basing my skepticism about his love for the player on comments made on the GM shuffle podcast.

The owner has final say on everything.
He literally hired Bill to make all decisions on the football operations. The buck stops with Bill like it would with any GM of any team in any sport.

The pick was Bill's responsibility for better or worse. If Bill didn't agree with the group he could have drafted someone else. But he didn't. And the pick was fine anyway when it was made. They needed a QB.

AVP could be good for this team or he could be terrible.

I mean, was anyone envious of the Cleveland Browns offense these last couple of years?

Yes. After seeing the Pats offense lately I was envious of most NYFL teams.

My boss isn't going to do my job for me that I'm being paid to do!
But when he tells you how it’s going to be, that’s how it’s going to be. The owner signs the checks.

Kraft announced collaboration in 2021, hired Wolf and all but announced Mayo as successor.

You have an odd instinct to omit any detail that doesn’t jibe with your “BB sucks” bias.

If Jonathan was sitting in the room and they discussed the matter his vote trumps all others.

Well.. then I must have done some things to warrant his involvement... if my advisory and experts that work under a person are all in union and I choose to follow my gut instead of my brains then I get what I deserve.

Bill's gone, there was clearly a reckoning. It doesn't change the dynamics of the owner/employee relationship for the last three years.

The Krafts own the team, if they want to ship every great player out of town and run the organization into the ground that's their right, if they want to hire a female lacrosse coach to be the head coach that's their right. Suggesting a paid employee can tell them how it's going to be is absurd.

And yet gave Bill an extension before the 2023 season.

Seems like an odd thing to do if Kraft really took all of Bill's power away... which he didn't. There is no report anywhere that says Bill gave up final say over the football ops. Also nobody is saying Bill was a dictator...of course he's going to ask people if they're ok with it before he selected Jones.

Lol. Nobody says BB sucks. But his record without Brady sure does and so has the coaching the last couple of seasons.

One year extension... lol

Kraft announced the collaboration very publicly at the owners meeting in 2021. Facts suck for you.

BB lives rent free in your head.

Brady without Arians had a losing record, it's a team sport.

No. Bill did that for 23 seasons.. now I'll agree that RK owns the team and makes final say.. but he hired Bill , Bill had full autonomy on everything.

He gave Bill a staff budget.. Bill pretty much took the $$, and paid his staff with CVS gift cards,, that's another reason why his staff dwindled over the years.

As I've said when an organization has stability at the QB position it makes GMs job that much easier.. that huge part of our success doesn't get mentioned enough. Ego, bad drafts Matty and Joe, 4-13 are what caused a parting of ways...

Collaboration was announced in 2021, that wasn't a mirage or my imagination... it happened.

Bill's coaches left because they were wildly successful and got opportunities as head coaches elsewhere that they probably didn't earn. Scar stayed the entirety of the dynasty, it wasn't about money... he liked his job as a line coach and knew his limitations.

The collaboration drafted Mac, that part of the failure doesn't get mentioned enough.
