Yeah Pats HOF is for the fans. It’s all about who meant a lot to this team and organization not just how great they are. Hard to mean a lot to this team if you’re not here that long.No. Ironically they are all HOFers, but none were here long enough to be Patriot Hall of Famers.
I just can't forgive him for the last season. Transitioning to Jets during SB. Sorry. No on all with the possible exception of Parcells. The man made a laughingstock franchise into a contender. I've never seen a football team make the drastic improvement that the 93 Parcells Patriots made from game 1 to game 16. It was the work of a coaching and motivating genius....and I was there sitting on those cold aluminum benches in 223 for every game.
That 3 year span is like a close to great 5 year for some wr’sParcells and Randy stick out bc of what they did while here. Not here for long but Randy had like 50 TD in 3 years, huge reason for 16-0 and was one of the very few players who actually made Brady a better QB. Obviously Parcells made a big impact in a short time.
We legitimately should put Revis in to F with jete fans.
OT - I wish Troy Brown played in that game. He makes the TD saving tackle on Howard that Hason Graham who replaced him couldn’t.I’ll always believe if Belichick was head coach already they beat the Packers in that SB. Partly because BB would make sure his team never gives Desmond Howard a chance to touch the football.
And Edelman, who will almost certainly win in a landslide his first year on the ballot. Not really, when you consider the logjam that's about to happen.
Tom is in. Not sure if that bumps anyone back, but the whole 1 per year thing is going to shut all the guys you listed out. Vinatieri gets in. Hightower, Slate, McCourty, Gronk all are locks. That fills in the next five years, plus Bill's clock is now ticking, he gets his own wing across from Brady's wing. Welker deserves to be in. Does Dave Andrews get in? Kevin Faulk and James White? Gilmore? I'd put all those guys in before Martin with Jete cooties, Revis the mercenary, Parcells the turncoat and Junior who just wasn't dominant enough to warrant getting in. I think you make a good case for Randy, but I don't want him ahead of the locks I listed. I have to be missing some other linemen as well. Mankins?
Yeah, I think I caught that in a later post. Good catch on the omission. And Edelman, who will almost certainly win in a landslide his first year on the ballot.
Packers were too good offensively and defensively that year. Also, the Pats were a year late on Favre turning into the playoff choker we came to all know which started the following year against Denver.I’ll always believe if Belichick was head coach already they beat the Packers in that SB. Partly because BB would make sure his team never gives Desmond Howard a chance to touch the football.
That rule works fine for me.What's with the discussion about Martin and Parcells? There should be a simple rule that if you left here to play for the Jets, you lose consideration, regardless of what you accomplished in New England.
It's a rule worth some consideration but Ty says hi.What's with the discussion about Martin and Parcells? There should be a simple rule that if you left here to play for the Jets, you lose consideration, regardless of what you accomplished in New England.
I agree for the most part but sometimes I think the impact in a short time matters. Especially with Randy, who on top of breaking league records with the Pats, has also largely been a Pats homer in his post playing days.None. I do not think of them as Patriots.

We should come up with a wing to Celebrate Jets like Cox and Revis who came here to get rings. (Honorable mention to Klecko family).Oof, forgot about that one. Damn.

I don't recall exactly how many others like Otis Smith who might have started here followed BP to NY and came back with Bill. I think there were a few more though.
