Our OT combination is going to be one of these, I believe:
a. LT Oko/RT Onwenu, with Anderson as 3rd tackle and Wallace as 4th tackle
b. LT Anderson/RT Onwenu, with Oko as 3rd tackle and Wallace as 4th tackle
c. LT Anderson/RT Oko, with Onwenu to LG and Sow to LG or a backup G (Wallace as 3rd tackle)
So I think we have 2 half-decent options at LT in Anderson and Oko. If Wallace can somehow beat out both of these guys then more power to him.
Profiles:
- Anderson is 28, 6'5/308, started 7 games at LT 2 years ago, very motivated & bright, low mileage. He's got a shot at getting the job.
- Okorafor is 26, 6'6/320, 6th year, started 59 games at RT, played LT in college. Solid vet who can probably play a decent LT.
- Onwenu is 26, 6'3/350, has played both RG and RT at a high level
- Wallace is 24, 6'5/314, rookie, played RT in college but his coach claims he can play LT
- Wheatley is 27, 6/6/320, career backup so far, maybe makes it as a backup. Lowe will be cut based on his performance last year.
