The most recent episode is an absolute embarrassment. Paul Perillo should be utterly ashamed of himself for being so childish and totally undermining his own somewhat valid point.

That is all.

Please provide a link to what you're referring to.

It's the discussion at the start about Drake Maye being undermined by Joe Milton, and Perillo just won't let it go, to the point where the first caller straight up asks him to stop. Incredibly childish and petulant behaviour.

Point made.
-I think a mod can close this thread now.

Agree 100% , I value all their opinions and knowledge but that spat was just bad.

I do wonder if part of the reason for drafting Milton was to push Maye and let him know that he has to continually earn the job. I don't think there is anyway Milton is going to have full command of the offense any time soon, though.

Not a good look for you when Fred Kirsch gets on you and tells you to stop acting like a baby.

It was such a weird tantrum too. Like who gives a **** if a small faction of fans might be calling for Joe Milton because he can throw 80 yards. Chance is those people were already gonna do it. "It's gonna be Zappe and Jones all over" There was a legitimate reason people wanted Zappe and it had a lot to do with Mac Jones playing awful.

I think Mayo, Van Belt, McAdoo and Wolf all just said he's a project but is also an upgrade on arm strength and athleticism to Zappe. Might as well have the project with the cannon arm and mobility that has a potential higher ceiling than the guy that has hit his ceiling.

Plus it will help in practice If your QB is gonna be Maye you might as well have another guy that has a similair build and play style. Both are big guys with strong arms and can move. Zappe is the opposite of that.

The reference to Felger and Mazz was amusing - and a little too close to accurate.

I'll admit, I'll have a tough time getting the Zappe chant from that Monday night game out of my head and feel like that was the moment it all turned. What's crazy - and I know there are some here who "knew it all along" - is people turned on the kid just three games into a season following a 10-win rookie campaign and a playoff appearance. I understand the turnovers, albeit more than half were to DeVante Parker. So, knowing what we know now, having Parker as the guy to heave the ball down the field to certainly wasn't ideal. Captain "Fingertips ... "

But again, the whole tenor of that was just ugly, and I do hope Maye never has to experience it.

I love patriots unfiltered and Paul. Rather I agree with him or not I love listening to his takes.

I only listened to a snippet. If Maye gets rattled because fans get excited over Milton making a flashy play in pre-season then it means Maye is soft like Mac.

Milton is here to replace Rourke and Zappe. Everything else is noise to get clicks. Pass.

He did walk it back by the end of the show, but if Milton (a 6th round pick) can spook the No3 overall selection then we made a horrible pick in Maye. Paul (and Evan) were completely weird with this fear of Milton and the fans ruining Maye
